So, after waking up at 7:30 am to record a dream I just had, I went back to bed thinking about having a lucid dream. I was pretty tired, so I must've drifted off concentrating on that thought. I'll copy and paste from my fresh DJ entry for you:

Dream 10
Lucid? FUCK YEAH!!!
Date? December 10, 2006

Where to begin?? Alright, well, the dream starts off in my bedroom at night. It's slightly rearranged from how I usually have it, but I didn't seem to notice. I've hooked up some wires to try and test one of my MOT welders. Somehow, the AC wires short out (I actually watch as the 2 wires from the outlet cross). The lights flicker, then slowly go out. Darkness is everywhere, it's extremely real. I find that, even with no light around, I can still partially see. I do a reality check to see if I can breathe with my nose squeezed shut. It works!! I can breathe strieght through it! I become lucid.

Not wanting to waste any time, I go out into the hallway. It looks pretty normal. There was a single, dim light, just like IRL. I decided to try and summon something. This being a dream, I decided to summon a machinegun. I looked at the floor in front of me. I closed my eyes and visualized one being there. I concentrated REALLY hard on this thought. I opened my eyes, and to my suprise, something was there! However, it wasn't a machinegun. It was some kind of shotgun, standing up by itself. Hey, better then nothing! I picked it up. It was real. I became a bit excited at this point. I loved it.

Somehow, there was a figure resembling a human dummy target just inside my parents bedroom. (Maybe my brain wants me to have some practise before playing with guns in there&#33. I cock the weapon and aim for him. I pull the trigger. The realism here is simply amazing. I felt the blowback, and saw the fragments of target's torso fly everywhere. There was sound, but it wasn't loud, more like a cap gun or something ^_^

I go back into the hallway, and as I glance downstairs, I see a bunch of alien-like creatures. I decide once again to try and summon a machinegun. I throw the shotgun away, and look at the floor before me. I closed my eyes and made myself believe that the weapon I envisioned would be there. I looked, and there it was! Kinda. I picked it up and looked at it. It had all kinds of digital readouts and displays and lights. I didn't even know where the fucking trigger was! I remember very clearly thinking "Stupid mind" for creating something this complicated for me. This was huge, because I had complete control over myself. It was just as if I were sitting here right now. I had complete concious state of mind.

After a solid minute (yeah, it took me THAT long), I figured where the trigger was, and where the bullets came out. I leaned around the corner and aimed for one of the creatures. I pulled the trigger and hoped for the best. A slur of fully automatic action took over for the next 3 seconds. I could feel the recoil of each shot. The sound resembled a very fast "PAK-PAK-PAK-PAK-PAK" noise. After those 3 seconds, I ran out of ammo. I could hear the shell casings bouncing off the polished wooden floor.

I went downstairs. The body of the thingie I'd just shot was gone. This was a tad frightening, but I quickly told myself to calm down, that this was a dream and I now had complete control of everything that happens, so I didn't pay much attention to it. I went a bit further. Heh, I now found myself in what appeared to be the main forum of my school! I looked across the room, and more, smaller creatures were now coming at me. I still had my funky assult rifle with no ammo left. I didn't know where the magizene was or anything, so I tried to use it as a big stick. This didn't work out too well, the little aliens were to fucking small for me to accuratly hit. I threw the gun away and ran outside. Every door I went through was EXACTLY like they are IRL.

It was incredable.

I went through the 2 main doors. There was no temperature differance going from inside to outside. There was a beautiful sunset. There were a few dream characters walking around. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted to fly.

I closed my eyes for a very brief second, and concentrated on it. I made myself believe that I was completely able to fly. I took a bit of a running start, and jumped into the air. I swear I almost crapped myself at this point. I was actually in the air, slowly accelerating upwards! It worked! I could feel and hear the wind rushing past me! It's the most incredable feeling ever, I can't say that enough. It was almost REAL. It was real. I flew higher, just above the height of the school. I saw everything exactly as it would be IRL. Cars, people, trees, roads, etc. There's simply too much detail here to discribe. As I was taking in all this, I started to doubt my flying abilites. I was losing the propulsion I'd gained, and now I slowly started falling to the ground! I closed my eyes and concentrated on being able to fly, but the falling sensation was SO REAL I wasn't able to regain my flight. I gently hit the ground with a thud. There was no pain whatsoever. One of my female dream characters laughed at me, then came and helped me up. She asked, "How did you do that?". I felt her hand as she extended it to me. It was real. Was it real? It seemed real. I could certainly get used to this place.

Suddenly, without ANY warning, I found myself back in my bed. But. Something wasn't right. I don't know what it was, but it was very strange. I did a reality check. It failed! I was still dreaming! This was awesome! I tried to open my eyes, but it was difficult. I tried harder, and I woke myself up for real. I was a bit disapointed it was over. Everything was so finely detailed in that dream. I could feel everything around me. For once, I had complete control over my actions in my dreams. That sudden excited feeling when I realized I was dreaming after my first RC was incredable. There's nothing else like it.

End *sigh* of Dream 10[/b]
It was the best dream I'd ever had. This made every bit of effort pay off, since I began keeping a DJ little over a week ago. I was really suprised with the level of control I had over this dream. I read somewhere that flying takes a lot of effort (which is true) and that most people don't get it on their first try.

If you don't know what a MOT is, don't worry, its not important Also, sorry about some of the language, I'm not usually that kind of person, but I'm extremely excited about this! I can't get over how real everything was. In total, I'd guess the dream lasted about 10 minutes (I took a lot of time looking around and stuff). IRL, I was asleep for about an hour.

Anyway, a huge THANK YOU to the people who made the tutorials and such. I owe you one
