What's On The Other Side Of My Bathroom Mirror?

Well, I went lucid on Christmas Eve. I was laying in bed and I thought that hey, I know how I can get lucid if I have a nightmare and then get out of bed to check it out in the other room. (Little did I know I was already dreaming). So sure enough, I heard something scary goin on in another part of the house and I got up out of my body, aha lucidity! So that was a weird way to go lucid, but I did it anyway. Now usually I would look for a DC to bang pronto, but my house was empty so I got up and walked into the bathroom, looking at my hands along the way to stabalize. I looked in the mirror and I had the hair cut I had as a little kid, then I remembered a lucid task from a while ago, so I decided to see what was on the other side of the mirror. I stuck my head through, then my torso. As far as I could see there was bright blue water and little kid's legs treading water. I was in a giant swimming pool! The sun was bright and there were hundreds of kids I wanted to talk to some DC's, but I was under water and they were above, so I started pulling the kids by the legs through the mirror, I managed to pull a few through but then my wife rolled over and jarred me out of my dream. That's what you get for spooning!

Congratulations. I've always wanted to do something with mirrors in my dream to see where I would end up. Seems like it would be pretty cool.. I usually have a reoccurring dream somewhere near Christmas where I wake up like it were Christmas day to find out there are either no gifts under the tree or only one or two that aren't great. On Christmas Eve I counted on having the dream and told myself that I would recognize it and become lucid. Unfortunately it didn't happen because I didn't even have the dream. Anyways, back to your dream. You and/or your wife don't have a problem with you banging random people in your dream? I'd think that a spouse would find it offense in a way.

Congrats on the mirror thing... What did your mirror feel like, I got a bit freaked out when I went through a mirror!

It didn't really feel like anything, but I did 'breath' water which just felt like normal air but heavier.

Hey! Mirrors are always cool things. I don't know what it is about them, probably something to do with mankind being one of the few animals that can recognize himself in one. Sharing your bed with someone does make it difficult to lucid dream, but is has ther advantages!

I like to think that when I go through a mirror, it'll take me through some vortex into another dimension.. and everytime I've gone through one, I've gotten some of the biggest rushes I've ever felt - I have not yet been able to make the entire trip through - but I am working on it! It usually starts with me floating through, and everything goes black. I feel myself start accelerating very quickly, and I start to see colors streaming by very fast. Then it gets turbulent and I keep going faster and faster - so fast that is starts to get painful! And then I conciously end the dream. I'll get there... eventually

I've gone through a mirror once too. It was kind of hard to get through, though. It was pushing yourself through partly solid stuff. I ended up in a completely different bathroom, which leaded to an unfamiliar hallway. Very cool, btw.
