      Hey fellow dreamers.

Yesterday was my first day without dope since i started LDing. I had previously had only a few short LDs, last night was different...

The dream started as a ND, i was being chased by 3 ppl with guns. I soon recognised it to be a LD, since fear and being chased are my two dreamsigns.

I wont bore you with all details, but basically this is what i achieved:
Discovered/refined skills: Freezing DC's in time, telekenesis, teleportation, mind control (a bit)
Fun things i did: Skated like a pro (always wanted to do that), teleported to my old school, dive through the floor (felt really strange), made out with my first crush (and a few other people), summoned people.

It was a hella long LD (felt like hours), so most of the time i was just going with the flow. Anyway, if you got this far, thanks for reading.

      Peace.

      Congratulations!
I'm sort of jealous of you for doing all that awesome stuff, I heard it was hard to do telekineses and Mind Control in a dream without waking up, maybe you're just good at it or something.
It's only up from here so you're LD's should just keep getting better

i hate when people say its hard to do something in a dream... its NOT "hard" to do anything in a lucid dream. IF you think its gonna be hard... it will be hard. Because lucid dreaming is all mental... If you expect to wake up when doing something, you will.

Nice, my friend! I've only had a 5-second long LD... but I'm still workin'!

      Keep it up!

What's hard for me is remembering what I want to do. Actually, I have trouble doing things I think of a lot of times too. I don't know why it is hard, but it is. Things that I want to do, just don't happen a lot of times. Sometimes I wonder if my control is ever going to get any better. I have tried to find out if people get more control over time, but no one has really ever answered me, so I don't know if I can expect to improve or not, and how long it may take.

Well you have to change your mindset. You are thinking its hard to do something in a lucid dream, and its not. Btw, I mean have dream control, not remembering to do something. That is a different thing I think.

I have problems with both. Did you always have good control, or did it get better with time? In one of my last lucids, some people were fighting and I tried to levitate a weapon to one, and nothing. Then I flew into a tree (flying is one of the few things I seem to be able to do consistently) and I tried to blow smoke out of my mouth, and nothing. When it doesn't work, I just don't know what to do and I give up.

I feel like everybody else has a lot better control than me. I wonder if mine is going to get better. I think it was a tiny step in the right direction that I thought of three things to do, and accomplished one, altho like I said flying is not usually a problem, altho sometimes it is as well. I seemed to get trapped in rooms, behind the bed, or just in a boring place a lot too.

Oh well I am always excited by every lucid. I would like to think there is hope for me with control tho.

My first few LDs my control was really poor. Here are the steps i have taken to improve it:

      a) have your goals for the next LD set out clearly before you go to sleep.

      b) in the LD, voice your intention, ie "[object] + [action]". eg: "car levitate... car up, left, etc etc...". I also associate each action with a different hand movement (eg telekenesis with open palm or something... that way, next time you do the action, your SC knows your intention)

      c) use an enchanted object, such as a wand, to help you set your intention more clearly. Eventually you wont need this either.

      d) the "when i turn around xyz (object/person) will be there" command works really well for me. Also try the same thing with a door or going around a corner.

Umm thats all i can think of now, hope it helps.

Thanks, I like the suggestion about voicing my intentions, I haven't tried that. I don't think I could conjure up a wand to use!
