I had my first ld last night, well first that I actually controlled. (At least I think I controlled it). So I realised I was dreaming and began to spin and my environment changed everytime I did so. Eventually I ended up in a bed. I looked at who was lying next to me. It was a deformed, doll like human being girl with red scary eyes and weird deformations. I was freaked so I started spinning and left the scene.

I think it was lucid, I mightve just been dreaming in a dream once again. I hate it when that happens.
I have dreamt plenty of times before I had even heard of lucid dreaming that I had a dream within a dream where I could control myself, but I wasnt really controlling myself like you do in a real LD, if you understand what I mean, lol.
I want it thick and long and to keep me up all night... I'm talking about the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book you pervs!!!

Haha, I'm trying to understand what you mean...but not quite getting it. I always thought lucid just meant you realize that you're dreaming. When you say "dream within a dream" do you mean that you realized you were dreaming in that dream? Haha I'm getting confused just trying to answer.

It sounds like a lucid dream to me if you realized you were dreaming, then spun and changed your environment - which then became you in your bed.

I think a dream within a dream is when you dream that you go to sleep and have a dream within the main dream... I think... it sounds confusing.

It WAS lucid, just a very low level of lucidity. The fact that you could spin shows that, you knew you were in a bad spot and you changed it. Just relax and use that as a lucid trigger next time. Something that weird can't be real, right? You could use this to achieve a higher level of conciousness in your lucids. Hope this helps.

Last night I was frightened by something in my lucid dream aswell. I could hear some sounds. However, I thought they were from my waking world. So I decided to wake up, in order to protect myself. But there weren't any sounds in the waking world... :S
      Sure, why not?

Such tends to be my experience in dreams when viewing myself in a mirror. I always seem to have a blue cast about me as well. However, the more I concentrate, the more I can properly align my features.
