Hi just posted an introduction in the newbie forum, but thought I'd share my first real success since I started trying to train my brain...

My LD started with a false awakening, I woke up in my room but things were different - My computer was in the wrong corner and the beanbag from the living room was beside my bed. My left hand and foot were hanging out of the bed onto the beanbag and I was "scrunching" the beans in my hand. I noticed that as I was doing this a web page on my PC was scrolling depending on how I moved the beans. This made me realise I was dreaming so I tried a reality check (holding my nose and trying to breathe with my mouth closed). Sure enough I could still breathe.

I leaped out of bed extremely excited that I was having a lucid dream but I told myself to calm down so I sat on my bed to collect my thoughts. I realised there was a mirror beside my bed opposite where I was sitting (I don't have a mirror in my room) so I looked into it decided to see if I could put my hand through it but couldn't. My next thought was to try flying but I figured if I couldn't yet put my hand through a mirror then flying was probably not likely either right now, so I walked out of my room.

As I went to the door I thought it would be cool to make someone appear on the other side, so as I opened it I kept telling myself a girl I know would be on the other side naked and waiting for me (Yes, dirty mind). Opened the door but she wasn't there, but there was a huge pile of mail on the floor by the front door. My brother walked out of his room with more mail and dropped it onto the pile, and told me it was all mail from the council but was for a previous tenant. I then asked what he was cooking, and he mentioned "chopped peppadew" and something else I can't remember.

I turned to go back into my room and again told myself this girl would be there, this time waiting in my bed, but again no luck. I went to the corner of my room where there is a wardrobe, but when I looked in it was now a small room without the usual clothes and boxes in it, just a couple of things in the middle of the room (small table and chairs? I can't remember). There was also a window on the wall now so I went to have a look out but saw a completely different scene to what is actually behind that wall. It felt more like Venice with a waterway/canal below me, and there was a courtyard to the right. I looked at a street sign in the courtyard to see the name but I can no longer remember it, although it sounded familiar. There was also what felt like a shopping plaza down to the left, but it was empty.

I wanted to try putting my hand through something again so I tried the wall next to the window, but again I couldn't do it, although I have a feeling I was getting closer as the wall was hard stone but felt wrong. I reality checked again to confirm I was still dreaming, and yep I could still breathe. At this point I wondered if breathing was even necessary in a dream so I just stopped. It didn't seem to have any adverse effect but I felt quite uncomfortable so I decided I might as well start again. I saw it had started raining outside and I put my hand out the open window to feel it. I was amazed at how real it felt and how cold it was. My brother had now come into my room so I asked him what he was after, he said he was looking for something so I went back to looking out the window. It had stopped raining.

People were now moving around as if it was rush hour all of a sudden. I watched them go by and saw a few good looking girls in the crowd. I wanted to get their attention so I tried willing them to look at my window but it wasn't working. For some reason there was now a bowl of pasta and sauce beside me so I tried throwing bits into the crowd to see the reaction. People looked around but no one looked up at me. I saw a frizzy haired brunette walking left to right and, a straight haired brunette with blonde tips (or was it the other way around?) walking across a bridge in front right to left. I couldn't seem to get their attention and throwing pasta seemed like more fun so a few bits flew their way. Again they looked around to see what was going on but didn't look up at me. The frizzy haired girl seemed to be with a man so I looked to the one with highlights, but she was disappearing up some steps to the left.

I then saw another girl walking towards the water from below me. She was quite beautiful as she walked down some steps to the water and I didn't think she was going to stop, that she was going to keep going right in. I felt somewhat concerned about this and I again tried to telepathically get her attention. She stopped at the water's edge and sat on a step looking across the water. I threw another bit of pasta which landed in the water with a splash and she turned around but I missed seeing her face as I suddenly felt embarrassed and hid. I felt really drawn to this girl, like there was something important about her so I decided to go down to speak to her.

I was only wearing boxers still so I pulled on a T-shirt (boxers and a T-shirt seemed like enough) and exited the flat. The hallway and stairwell were completely different and there was no longer a lift. It also seemed like the stairs went down about 20 stories instead of the 4 they should. I started down the stairs and thought how long it was going to take. I started to jump flights at a time, then started hopping the banisters to get to the next flight quicker as I grew in confidence. Then I tried to speed up by jumping and flipping and kicking off walls and ceilings, it felt very much like something out of Spiderman. I still wasn't getting down the stairs quick enough and I was now feeling a bit panicked, like time was running out and I really needed to meet this girl. I looked at the gap between the flights and saw how far down it was, and wondered if I could make the drop. I told myself again, it's a dream go for it, and hopped the rail and dropped all the way to the bottom watching the floors speed by as I fell. Just before I landed I briefly wondered if I'd made a mistake but I thought about the scene from the matrix where he leaps the rooftops, and landed in a similar style. It felt like I'd only dropped a few feet.

The hallway at the bottom was also all wrong, there were corridors everywhere and I didn't know the way out. I was feeling an even stronger sense of urgency now and I started running looking for a way out but I was lost. I thought to myself "there has to be a fire exit" and suddenly a fire exit appeared and I kicked through it to get outside. I realised I was on the wrong side of the building now, and there was more water that seemed to surround me so I started wading towards a gap ahead. There was an oriental feel and it seemed like there were restaurants along the water's edge. As I waded through the water searching, I woke up...
