New mattress makes all the difference!

I switched mattresses with our pullout bed downstairs, since nobody uses it, and my mattress was ~13 years old.

I started sleeping much better, and I have had lucids two nights in a row now!

Although, i've started waking up in the night more frequently...

I consider getting a new mattress too. The current one is very uncomfortable . It's difficult to wild, since I don't like to wild when lying on my back, and it's very comfortable the other way.
I hope I can get a new one very soon.

Congrats on your two lucids though. Now I am sure I should get another mattress

I'm confused. Did you replace a shitty mattress with a good mattress, or vice-versa, since you're saying the new mattress made you sleep better, yet it makes you wake up more during the night?

Well, whatever you did, have fun LDing :bravo: Whatever works, works.

I think your LDing success may be do to sleeping in a different place (or in your case, sleeping on a different mattress). Check out this thread. It talks about how our minds are more aware when we're sleeping somewhere that isn't our usual place, which may cause us to become lucid easier.

Maybe it is Compass Orientation. Are the mattresses both pointed in the same direction?

      Thanks for the replies, guys.

When I say I that I sleep better, I mean I wake up feeling more refreshed, and not like i've wasted all my sleep, like I did on my old mattress. I suppose that I'm waking up because i sleep better, and get more rest in less time, which i'm not used to.

And that could help my lucids, because the last two were after i woke up once, and went back to bed.

And it also could be the difference in sleeping. My new mattress is more comfortable, but i haven't changed the position. So it's a much different experience for me, and that's what could be causing it.

Ironically, I am about to get a new mattress and I alternate where I sleep frequently. I'll report back with my findings about if I had a greater lucid experience on the new mattress, and it wasn't just Slackers' change of location.
