      I tried the FILD lastnight and the only problem was when i went to do the reality check (plug your nose to see if you can breath) i would move my arm and it would wake me up more so i cant really stay i a really tired state. i dont know what to do.. any suggestions?

      There's really no way of getting around this.. other than using a different RC. However, the goal of FILD is to fall asleep without knowing, while remembering to do a RC. If it's successful you don’t have to worry about waking up when you move your arm.. you'll be moving it in a dream.

      I've found it's unlikely for the technique to work if it fails the first time.. you're better off going back to sleep normally and then trying again when you wake up. Also, you'll have a better chance of having success the second time around because you will remember to do the tech right away..... or if you're lucky you will wake up in a FA and remember to do the tech ... which equals instant LD.
