Thread: 1st 2 Lucid Dreams!

ok i was very excited so this might be a little long but its worth the read

1st lucid dream
thursday night


i had only been asleep for maybe 45 minutes but i was really tired


i didnt have any dreamsign or realize that i was dreaming i just kind of saw my hands through this computer screen and KNEW that i was dreaming

anyways i saw everything blurry but kept trying to look at my hands at some point it went to a real view instead of seeing stuff like i was looking through a screen it wasnt clear but i knew i was dreaming i kept looking at my hands because i could feel the dream fading and my hands were computer parts then i felt myself kinda pulsing and gradually waking up i still tried to look for detail but i woke up


2nd lucid dream saturday morning

my sister came in my room and woke me up after i had been sleeping for about 6 hours i was awake for 5-10 minutes then went back to sleep

once again i just started to be lucid without being able to remember what happened before that like i went straight into lucid dream anyways i was in a kitchen area looking at some stairs and everything kind of felt like a power surge of lucidity everything was really clear and i went upstairs and there was a dog and i said MONKEY and it turned into a monkey then i saw a tv on some building and kept making it bigger and bigger

then i tried to make my monkey fly so i threw him out the window and said FLY but he fell to the ground then i just kinda woke up

i didnt really remember this one fading

but i think i opened my eyes a little which might have messed it up

my question is


when your lucid can you open your eyes? because i am pretty sure i opened my eyes for like a second then was like i better keep them closed or ill wake up and had to kind of squint to stay in the dream

The human mind is funny. I've noticed that in my lucid dreams too. I can tell myself over and over what I want to do with my lucidity. I can make lists of spiritual/scientific things I would like to discover there. I can think up all kinds of interesting mind-expanding experiments to try. Then I get lucid and the first thing that comes to mind is something like turning dogs into monkeys then chucking them out windows. :P

Also you thinking your eyes were open was probably part of the dream.. a quasi-false awakening. Either that or you did open your eyes and the rest of the dream was just sleepy hypnogogic imagery.

When falling asleep some times it feels like I am opening my eyes but not when I am already asleep. First lucid dream I had a real problem seeing though, kind of hurt my eyes too, but it was only that one time.

kindof like a test subject i guess i was still scared of falling

i would have flown also had the monkeys falling not distracted me


oh yeah i had the monkey on my shoulders and i remember trying to put my jacket on for like a minute (which was the bulk of my lucid dream as i would assume it only lasted 2 minutes or so)

heh.. nice idea to use a "test subject".. *g*
but i can tell you: don't be scared of falling! i made a couple of "flying tests" in my last LD and some of them .. hmm.. didn't work quite well.. heh.. meaning i fell down from quite a height to the ground several times. but it didn't hurt at all.. it's just the feeling of a sudden stop of the falling and you kindof feel the sensation of "hitting" the ground.. but it doesn't hurt..
i just stood up and tried again.. so nothing to be scared of.. 8)

lmfao! It fell and then kinda wake up lol, that made me laugh.... !!!

I know you didn't mean to have the monkey plummet to his death, but it was just so funny the way you described it and the way you reasoned in your dream.

Congratulations for your LD's and I hope you get the chance to throw more monkeys out the window in the future....
