Well, after many unsuccessful attempts at WILD'ing, my alarm clock finally woke me up at 4 AM (for a change, usually I'd been sleeping through it). Once I realized I was awake, I turned off my alarm and lay down and tried to relax.
Didn't work. I think I tried too hard. That brought me to about 5 AM, at which point, it seems I fell asleep.
I was laying on my bed sideways. I was wondering why it was so hot and humid in my room, even though I had my fan and my air conditioner on. I thought "This could be a dream." I don't know if that's how I attained lucidity. I then attempted to WILD in the dream and it worked! I heard the most awful sound in my ears, like someone with big fingernails ripping them across a blackboard. It was so loud it made me nauseous. I felt like everything but my feet was falling through the bed, but my feet were still hooked on.
I may have lost lucidity somewhere in here, but in a few moments, I was dreaming normally, and the knowledge that I was dreaming managed to carry over. I realized I was dreaming, and I commanded a Dream Character to do something (can't quite remember what). Suddenly, I was outside, on a street, in a building across from an old Soviet-era-looking building with big, gray columns and a brick facade. Spotlights shining down in my eyes. I did the finger RC (the only one that ever works). It seemed that I had about seven or eight fingers, and every time I looked at one, it would disappear. I got too excited. Everything faded, and I lost lucidity. I woke up. I was rolling around in my bed, and it seems my Biology professor was there. Other students were there. It seemed that one of them had stolen her bottle of...something...
Back in my bed. I looked at the clock. It said 6:something AM. I didn't think to check a second time. I realized I wasn't going to get to classes on time, and I got up in bed.
I woke up at this point. I looked around, slightly spooked, realizing it was only 5:something AM. I rushed to write it down.
This is, without question, the stranger of my two lucid experiences. The previous one seemed to masquerade as a dream, but I never thought I could have one within a dream. Has this happened to anybody else?
Also: When I was losing lucidity early, spinning didn't work. It was like I lost lucidity too fast, before I could even figure out how spinning worked. Can anybody help me with that?
