Unhappy

I was dreaming that I was a detective. I had a broken tibia (shin bone);I walked with a cane. I was interviewing my suspect, who also had a broken leg. She tapped my on the shoulder with her crutch. I felt the vibrtion reverberate throughtout my entire body. When it reached my broken leg,a searing pain shot through me. It hurt so much that legs buckled. I knew I was dreaming and raised my cane to hit her, but then my dog licked my face IRL and I awoke. Now, I was trying to WILD while taking an afternoon nap at about 2:00. I have heard of something like "intense vibrations." Is that what this was, (minus the pain) or do those happen before you get to sleep? Thanks y'all.

I'm always asleep when I feel intense vibrations, but they do not lead to searing pain. I don't recall ever feeling the vibrations while awake, but then again, I have not attempted to induce a lucid dream using the WILD technique before. To me, the vibrations resemble a mix between intense goosebumps and a surge of adrenaline. Perhaps you felt threatened by the suspect, so your body sent out adrenaline in response to the tap?
