So sunday nights I usually plan for an "easy WILD". After a long weekend of partying, staying up late, etc, sunday night I usually can WILD pretty easy.

I layed down and right away got that feeling like my body was turning to lead. When I feel that, I know I just have to stay focused enough to stay awake while I fall asleep and I'll be WILDing in no time.

When I'm about 80% there, it always seems I get an "itch".. like my body is trying to wake me up again. I found last night that ignoring it (which is VERY hard to do) it would soon go away, and then I would get some very bright flashes.. not quite HI, but close. Then I know that's one more step closer.

Well I went back and forth from those steps for an hour last night. My dog must have been dreaming and rolling around/kicking me, and my wife was very restless and rolling around all night. So I'd start over at the "itch" stage, then the flashes of light... then images starting to form, then movement in bed again from them, and WHAM, back and forth.

Now, what was weird was last night I started to get very warm and sweaty. I ignored that as well because I was SOOO close to WILDing. I finally did enter a weird dream state.. but it felt more like an OBE. I was in bed. Things were slow, muddy and distorted.. and very dark. I started rubbing my hands together but I couldn't feel any heat from that. I tried again, and it got a little clearer, but noghing like before. I then felt like I floated up a little out of bed, and starting coming down and was landing on top of my wife. I thought "great, she's going to wake up and wake ME up from my WILD that I'm fighting to gain control..."

I also remember having my glasses on, which weren't IRL. I put them up on my head (like you do with sunglasses) and then thought "no, when things get clearer, maybe my glasses will help!" So I slid them back down to my eyes.

Well, it was a dream I knew, but I still softly came to rest on top of her and sat up. Her (the DC her) then shook me and I told her "no, don't shake me, I'm WILDing!" and started rubbing my hands again.. but couldn't do it... and awoke. To find myself in exactly the same position I layed down in (on my stomach)... totally different from the final position in the WILD/OBE.

This didn't feel like any other WILD I'd had before. IT took over an hour to get there, and was plain weird. I couldn't increase vividness by rubbing my hands, and felt NO heat when doing it... I had almost no control, but was lucid. And things were dark, muddy, and slow.

I did feel extremely rested after this, though, which is normal for me after a WILD.

I'm actually going to call this an OBE unless I have another WILD that's similar. But with my WILDs normally there is great control, empty surroundings to start with and I have to create/find other people, etc.

I've had a few WILDs that felt like OBE's. In one LD I remember debating with myself about whether I was lucid dreaming or having an out of body experience. In the end I concluded it was a dream.

Even though these experiences do feel as if I'm breaking free of my body and exploring, I tend to accept that they are lucid dreams simply because I'm not into OBEs. You should bring this up in the Beyond Dreaming forum they can probably help you figure this out.

Actually, this pretty much describes how ALL my WILDs have started out.

I don't believe in OBEs btw, but nevertheless even if I did, I'd still lump this in the category of WILD rather than OBE. It's just a WILD that starts as a sort of false awakening and unstable, muddly, etc. For me, things are thick and muddy and the walls wobble and try to hit me.

I'd tend to agree as I don't really believe in OBEs either, but it sure FELT like what an OBE probably is.

Just wish there wasn't such a rukus in bed.. or I would have been in WILD heaven as usual on sunday nights. I've got the stages pretty much down and know when I reach each level and when I'm almost there.

BTW, funny pic meanine.. lol.. although Jesus would kick Vishni's butt with zero arms.. lol
