Ok, i've been experimenting with Lucid dreams for a long time but just recently ran accross this site and found out what it was called. Anyway this is what happend, I spent about an hour or so reading the tutorials and browsing the forum before going to bed. The dream started and I was standing in my room when I realized that it was a dream. I got very exited and started to try to change things in my room, i tried making things appear or levitate objects but I just couldnt get it to work, I then started to lose my awareness so I started to concentrate on the dream when I thought "hey, i should go to that website and read some of the tutorials" I sat down at my computer and tried to go to the website but the Page could not be displayed! I started to panic, i checked my router, yes i'm online, Whats the problem?!? I then thought that i had to do some windows updates, so im downloading the updates when all of a sudden i'm playing UT2004 but im actually in the game, thats when i lost control and woke up. I had to laugh outloud at myself when i woke up.

if you realised you were in a dream, then why were you checking to see if the router was on? or to download updates? sounds like you had very low lucidity to me

Yeah UT2004 Rocks! no never posted on the ataricommunity forums. Well yeah, like i said though, I started to lose my concentration. Thats really why it was funny though, even though I new I was dreaming I still thought about going to the website. It seems like when I have an LD, I know that I am dreaming but I still get caught up with little insignificant things that shouldn't matter, like I read in a different post where the person said he was franticaly searching for money in his wallet to buy a beer before he woke up. I guess I never completely grasp the fact that nothing really matters because none of it is real. Oh well.

ya, what I've read a bit about is how you can easily get distracted by things in your dream and easily get carried away with them. like you'll be thinking about becoming more lucid, then you see a man with his head jammed up his butt...
