Awake, but , can't move

Hi ! Every once in a while when I take naps, I seem to fall in a deep sleep (in my room). And I can hear things around me and seem to see in my bedroom. I feel I need to get up, but, I can't move. It is starting to scare me. Is this Lucid? It only seems to happen when I am alone. I can hear things, but , I don't know if it is real. One time I felt like there was someone in the room , when there wasn't. I donnot know if my eyes are open. I feel paralized, I have to force myself to move my arms or legs. Sometimes, I wonder if it is spirit. I am worried.

It's sleep Paralysis. It's a normal part of the sleep process that occurs every night, except in this case you were awake to experience it. Feelings of uneasiness or evil are common, but you have to know, all of the feelings like that which you experience are created by your mind, they are not real. The hearing things is part of Hynagogic (sp?) imagery. Basically, you're in the state directly before dreaming. Again, normal sleep process. None of this is Lucid Dreaming. Lucid Dreaming means to be dreaming whilst knowing that you are dreaming.

Yeah, scared the crap out of me the time it happened to me. I thought I was awake but actually paralyzed. When I realized I was dreaming, I was just like, "Awww maaan, this is the lamest dream I've ever had. Seriously, so lame."

I have that often, man it's hard to to panic. True SP means you are awake and aware of your surondings I'm trying to learn to not get to freaked and see if I WILD
