testing the waters

k so i was having a dream last night where behind me was a green field and in front of me was a lake. i had friends all around me. i had a fishing poll. everyone is offering to help me put a lure on the line and i can't figure out why. then i look down and see my left hand all mangled. i remember my injury. a friend of mine starts to tie a yellow fish to the line. the line is blue and purple. i cast out into the water and slowly start to reel it in. i do this a couple times but nothing happens. i look at everyone and suddenly get lucidity. i decide to make a fish bite. i cast way out into the lake and start reeling in. i keep getting nibbles but nothing is catching. then i see a barracuda grab the lure. i yank the line and it breaks, i fall back and land on my hand. it's excruciating. i can feel that i'm lying on my left side and i assume that i rolled onto the hand in real life. i jump into the lake and go under, the water is really clear. i find the barracuda swimming around with the blue and purple line hanging out of his mouth. i chase him down and grab him. i throw him on shore and everyone cheers. i get on shore and start walking away from the water, across the green field that was there. i wake up with my hand in a funny position under me.

what i thought was weird was the fact that i had a high level of lucidity and the line still broke. i usually have enough control where stuff like that doesn't happen. of course i get device failure but this was different this would be like me having a sword break in my hand... that never happens.

Hehehehe...that was pretty funny..

I found it funny that, even thought it was high level lucidity, you didn't try to do something else, and instead just focused on fishing...

As for you cane not working...well...what can I say?

well you see i got bored with the normal stuff. i fly all the time, i materialize stuff all the time... shit i even got bored of maintaining my island.

it's a lucid lackluster.

so i've been going along with the dreams for a while... ya know, try and see if my mind gives me some sort of struggle. i suppose the line breaking is a problem and i'll try to fix that.

Adidas, how often are you lucid, and how much control do you generally have? It seems like you are quite experienced in Lding...

ohh i got the innuendo don't worry... i was expecting "rod" instead of cane but whateva.

i've LDed every other night for the past couple of weeks. i had a massive dry spell a while ago though.

control fluctuates but the majority of the time i have good control. when i have absolute control i can do some crazy stuff; like make islands and crumble mountains. quite fun by the way.

Sounds pretty cool!!! I don't think I have ever had that much control, or at least I have never tried doing stuff like that...

How long have you been LDing?

i had my first one around christmas last year. i had low level stuff when i was a kid but it never clicked.

You seem to have had some pretty good progress since you started. I began in february(I joined in january but wasn't active until feb) and have had some good progress, but not as much as you seem to have. Hopefully I am getting there...

Out of curiousity, which induction method do you use? I have the best control(obviously) when I use WILD...

i guess you could say naturally with some help from dream signs. sometimes i'll just gain lucidity out of the blue, sometimes i'll be in a familiar dream location but other than that nothing "induces" my lucidity. i've tried wilding but i'm inconsistent with it.

we all need goals.

Its cool that you can have that much awareness without even trying. When I have a DILD out of the blue I generally have a pretty low awareness level, I have to use a WBTB method to have high awareness...

I guess you are a natural, when it comes to awareness in Ld's...

My LD's vary, but the most vivid lucid ones (with high awareness) I've had were dream induced... and I'm no natural at it.
I've had bad dream induced lucids too
