      Lucid Thinking

One of my main motives for LDing is to be able to think without a single distraction (I heard once that thinking in and LD is easier because your mind doesn't concentrate on its senses as much). Since I've never had an LD where I was completely in control though, I've never been able to meet my goal. So I was wondering if anyone has ever done this and if so, how was it?

Again, in case I wasn't clear enough: I'm trying to make all distractions go away while I'm dreaming so I can have completely clear thoughts.

      Thanks in advance.

Nowadays, I am able to think and dream at the same time, the same way I do awaken.

As an example, awake, I can imagine the figure of a spinning cube, and that imaginary image doesn't alter the shape of the table that is in front of me. That is very hard to accomplish in a LD because your thoughts tend to drive the elements.

LD becomes more and more similar to the "real" world over the years, at the point that you can finally stay in front of an object, imagine another and don't have any alteration in your environment at all. At that point you are completely convinced that your dreams are NOT vivid imagination. They are something in the middle of what we call reality and what we call imagination.
