      Got scared and became lucid

Ok so once again I became lucid...but only for a second or two

I was at my house and it was nighttime. My sister had 2 of her friends over to spend the night. I had to sleep downstairs for some reason, but I couldn't sleep in my room. Well...in my house I had this old computer room that turned into a play room and is now a guest room. Well...in my dream it was different. I think it was still considered the guest room except that all it had was a stack of books(I think) and a TV and this closet thing. The TV was the only thing that lit up the room and it wasnt a very big TV...but the closet wasn't quite like a closet. Along time ago I remember having a dream about something similar to this closet thing. All it had is a curtain infront of it and from what I could tell there was a hallway to the left side of it.

Well for some reason I remember being terrified of it...I would stay away from it as best as possible. Well...in this dream I got really close to it...closer than I wanted to be. I had to grab a pillow and a blanket from my room and slept downstairs. But before I went to bed my sister's two friends had a contest. The contest was whoever could pass out first won. Well for some reason I decided to join in on it...they explained how to do it but I forgot how to and don't really care now...anyway I went downstairs into the room. I laid down my blanket and pillow and started to do what they said. Next thing I know I feel like I'm going into sleep paralysis in my dream...except it felt different. But when I did it I became lucid...but I was terrified...all of a sudden all these bad thoughts coming to me and I was terrified of something coming out of that closet...I couldn't move or open my eyes so I started to scream really loud. You know when you scream so loud that your barely screaming? Well I did that so I could hopefully wake up...well next thing I know a voice calls out to me and says "Relax" and then for some reason I just calmed down instantly. It's like this person had full control over me. And I just stopped caring about that closet. The voice was also a female voice. And I couldn't recgonize it either. But I would guess that it was my dreamguide if anything...but then I opened my eyes and found no one there...so I blinked and then wokeup.

I'm wondering if a dream character has the power to take control of how I feel. Or would a dreamguide only beable to do this? And could this closet hallway represent something I'm afaird of? Or could it be some kind of path to my nightmares?

Has anyone else tried to find a hallway or something that leads to their nightmares? Because I don't want to be the only one...

Well, dream guide is just a status that a dream character gains whe nhe/she helps you out in a dream. I deeply believe that dream characters can influence, and even control you, as they are also part of your mind. In a lucid I projected my subconscious into a DC, and it could control me by telling me what he didn't want to do.

Nightmares and semi-nightmares are also a lucid trigger for me. I guess that, being in danger, my brain forces my consciousness to wake up. I faced this very situation on my lucid last night.

Last of all, just try to remember that, in a dream, nothign can harm you. This can be hard to do sometimes, since there always are semi-lucid dreams, but try to keep this idea within your concept of lucid dreams.
