      Talking with the dead.

My father died 13 years ago.

The other night i decided that when i became lucid again i was going to try and find him. That night i became lucid and i found him.

It was quite a long lucid dream but the short of it is..... i went to a place that was familiar to us both. I walked into the room and he was standing about three meters in front of me. He was a lot younger than when he died (maybe 20 years) and he looked so healthy(he died of cancer). He said to me in a surprised and worried manner " what are you doing here" My vision kinda zoomed in on his face and i looked into his eyes. I was totally overwhelmed. Hearing his voice and seeing him after all this time was too much..... i woke up.

Has anyone else had lucid dreams and talked with people that have passed on?? i would love to know your experiences...

      Peace Sensi.

No. I want to try. I don't know how I would handle it though. I haven't lost anyone as close to me as a father though.

Yeah its pretty intense but i was overwhelmed with positive emotions not negative. But in saying that it has unsettled me alittle. I didnt think i would actually get to see him again. It was just an idea that i wanted to try so it was a shock when it worked. If it happens again i will be a bit more prepared.

      Peace Sensi

Not a full dream, but when my wife and I were on our second honeymoon earlier this year, I was trying to induce using WILD one morning.

I was beginning to drift into SP. The imagery was beginning to firm up, but no vibrations yet.

My sister walked into the room (the hotel room in which we were sleeping). She was wearing a white robe, and sat down in the chair next to the bed.

      She died last October

It startled me so much that I jerked awake. I didn't even get a chance to ask her why she was there.

Needless to say, I didn't go back to sleep. I've been trying to find her ever since to ask her what she wanted to tell me.

I've never talked to anyone who has died, but some of the males in my family seem to have something weird with that. When my mom's mom died, my dad had a dream about her, saying she was okay, etc., but he couldn't go back to sleep because she would keep talking to him.

      Wow seeker,

Thanks for your story. It is pretty crazy seeing them again Huh? Esp if the dream is lucid. I do hope that if i see him again i will be able to talk to him and not wake up.

The night after i saw him something strange happened to me. I had fallen asleep for about 10 minutes when i felt and saw something above me in my room. It was trying to reach me. I was freaked out and i woke up straight away with a scream. I've never woken up with a scream before. Dont know if the two experencies are related....

When you say you have tried to find her ever since what have you tried?

      Im sorry for your Loss.

      Peace Sensi.

      Sensi,

Thanks for your words of kindness. So far, when I can remember to, I have just been walking around looking for her.

      Maybe soon......

My dad died 12 years ago. I have had may dreams about him. So far my mind has accepted all of them. I know he has passed on, but I accept it, and I'm happy in the dream. It sucks when I wake up and realize it was a dream. I haven't dreamed about him since I learned about lucid dreaming (about a year ago). I haven't tried summoning him though. I don't think I will 'cause when I wake up i know I'll end up wondering if what he said was just what my subconcious wanted him to say...

      A Glimpse of Joy,
But soon it's Over, and I return to Dust...

KalmaH - Sorry for your loss aswell. Yeah its a hard one. It is a lot different when you have a lucid dream than a normal dream. I've had many non lucid dreams of my dad and i can handle them. When it was lucid it was way more of a shock. I now wonder what kind of connection it was so i can see why you would be hesitant.

Seeker - It may just have been begginners luck for me to find him on the first try. In my lucid dream it went through many stages before i found him, i had to keep focused on getting to the place where i thought he may be. Like i said this place was familar to us both. Dont know if this is any help but good luck.

      Peace Sensi.

I often have dreams of my grandad who passed over, My first dream of him was when we were at a family dinner and I went up to him and said "Do you know you passed away" and he said yes and I asked him "How come your in my dream then?" and he said something like "I'm here to keep an eye on you lot (my family), I will always be around when you need me so don't worry" I hugged him and carried on with the dream.
I have had a few dreams containing him and he has always been different from the other dream characters, I also atend a spiritualist church with my dad and he has come through a few times when I have had readings.
It reminds me of the film "The sixth sense" right at the end.
I live to dream because I dream to live.

      Hey Danny,

      Thanks for sharing you experience.

Im guessing your dream was lucid when you talked with you grandad. In what way did he seem different from other dream characters?

      Peace sensi.
