Thread: One way I didn't want to get a lucid dream...

Well this happened acouple of days ago but I'm posting it now.

I was in my living room watching TV with my family when the phone rang...so I rushed to get it before my sister did just like I always do. I did get the phone (which now I wish I hadn't) and when I looked to see who it was it said "Unknown Name and Unknown Number" so I was like meh and answered it. I said "Who is this?" and then I heard "It's your grandma and I'm back and I want to talk to your mom." I froze and was shocked completely...I was scarred stiff...I didn't know what to do. I knew who was on the phone but I couldn't believe it. I handed my mom the phone and she just started talking to her like it was normal. Thing that shocked me was this...my grandma died this year sometime in March. And I knew it was her voice. Once I handed the phone to my mom I became lucid...I didn't stay in the dream very long because I was very shocked and was trying to figure out how that could happen...seconds later as I walked into my room I woke up.

That kinda freaked me out...not the kind of lucid dream I want...

I wouldn't take it to seriously. It wouldn't have been meant as anything freaky, it's just one of those mistakes your brain makes that lucid dreamers notice. A few months back, In a dream, a friend of mine who died a couple of years ago, passed me in the street and said hi, I suddenly stopped and though - hang on your dead!, and then realised I must be dreaming.

Well that would have freaked me out for a minute too.. especially as her passing was so recent. (I'm sorry about that )

But at least you realized that you were dreaming and became lucid (if only for a moment).
