This morning I had my first ever lucid dream! It started out with me in a deserted parking lot. I saw one of the guys from work get into his car and drive off. I got into a car like his, but there was no back to the seat and it was so close to the steering wheel that I was sitting behind the seat. I took off driving anyway and tried to adjust the seat as I was driving. When I looked down and saw the seat was attached to a piece of lumber, I got the feeling something was amiss. I quickly reached the conclusion that I WAS DREAMING!! It was one of the best feelings ever! I knew what my level of excitement was about to cause, but it happened faster than I thought it would. I heard a sort of synthesizer hum, and everything faded to blue. I tried to spin, but I had lost control of my dream body much quicker than I thought it would happen. Then I found myself in bed.
The cool thing is I didn't use any visualization, mantras, or anything like that. I got it on pure mental fortitude! But it is a good sign that I remembered the spinning even if I did it too late. That shows that I do have the capacity to remember techniques in my dreams. I just need to work on reality checking more.
