      Hey... My first lucid dream.

I was in my kitchen, at my house, doing something with the microwave wich I can't remember what it was. My sight was as sharp as now.
I moved on to the livingroom where I played with my dogs.
I have two dogs - a male and a female. In the dream I had 3 dogs, the female and two identical male dogs (this is not the first time I was dreaming about dupelicated housepets... I also have a cat).
At first, it all made sense. But after a few "dream minutes" wich last about 20 seconds, I realized something was wrong.
So I asked myself a few questions:
Am I supposed to be here ? Yes.
Can I remember how I got here ? I woke up this morning...
Do I really have 3 dogs ? Hmm.. Maybe.. No, probably not.
So I decided to take another test. I tried to find something to read, but I couldn't.
I looked at the TV (it was extremely wider than the real one), I think Ricky Lake was on.
There was a digital clock on the left side. The time was 10:3? (could've been 10:31, 10:37.. I'm not sure), that was about the right time because when I woke up to answer the phone earlier, It was about 10:20.
I looked away, then looked again. Same thing. Looked away, looked again, looked away, looked again... By the 3rd or 4th time it was 09?.
By then I was pretty sure I was dreaming, but then everything started to get a bit blurry. I tried to lift myself, but nothing happened. I tried jumping but I just fell on the livingroom table (it hurt).
Then I decided to see if I could move my hand through the couch, I punched it trying to convince myself that this is going to work. And it did. Didn't feel a thing, it just went right through it.
By this point my "lucidity" was almost gone. Even though I was aware of what's going on, everything started to get slower and slower. I tried to remember some of the techniques I read about, about increasing the lucidity in a dream.
I only remembered one method. So I said "increase lucidity now !". Nothing happened, did it again.
Funny how I tried to keep it quiet just in case I wasn't dreaming... I didn't want my sisters to think I was smoking something.
Anyway, it didn't work. Before I had a chance to do something cool I lost it... Everything was slow and I could barely move..
As if my brain was running an old Voodoo GFX card in low FPS. The colors got all messed up, pretty soon it was all black and white. I woke myself up.

I had this dream without having any realitychecks in everyday life, and without writing a dream diary.
I used to, but I gave that up a long time ago. I simply woke up everytime.
Lately I've been reading about lucid dreams again, so that's probably why I had this dream.
I'd be happy to get some replies.

Like Seeker said, the turtorials are a great place to start.

If you want further info, I recommend "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming." It has some great beginner info as while as advanced techniques...
