      Yes FINALLY! OMG YES!

After many attempts at lucid dreaming and I was beginning to loose hope I finally had one! It was a DILD, something I thought was only for naturals! Ok so I was with my friend who introduced me to lucid dreaming and who I talk about it regularly to, and we were on the subject of lucid dreaming and the thought occurred to me "Hey what if this is a dream?" Well I looked at the small print on a book that he was holding and did three double takes the text had changed!!! Then a rush of color hit me and I Turned to him and said "P(the first letter of his name) I did it, I am finally lucid!" He responded "Really?" I then told him yes and he was my dream character he didnt seem to mind this and so I then started to rub my hands together so I wouldnt loose this out of excitement! He then began to fly because he knew it was a lucid dream also, I went to a high place to try my first flight! IT FAILED! LOL Well I hit the ground and it didnt hurt haha! Then I tried a trick my friend had done to learn to fly in his lucids, I hope once then once more and then the third time lift off!!!! Flying was the greatest sensation I have ever experienced! I have never flown in a dream before and it was marvelous! Well after a while i began to loose the lucid part and faded into a normal dream which I only half remember! But FINALLY! This has been mt goal for sooo long! One question though Is it normal when you are first LD'ing to have it be difficult to stay in the lucid state?

Woooooohoooooooo!!!! Congrats man!! You have now crossed the point of no return.

Yeah it's totally normal to have difficulty staying lucid the first time. But it gets easier with practice!

      congrats.

why do i feel so fake.

natural LDing is a shit in the face for people like you.

We should kill god for his ignorance in this matter.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

Oh yeah, definitely! Depending on the LD, sometimes it can positively impact your mood for days at a time. Have you read LaBerge's book? There are some really nice LD examples from people there.

      Hahaha. That's awesome, man. Congratulations!

And yeah, I'm usually buzzed all day, after an awesome lucid. And even after that, going back and reading them in my DJ can always put a smile on my face.

Indeed! After waking up from a lucid dream.. I find that my mood is incredibly brighter for at least the rest of the day if not longer!

A lucid dream can bring so many emotions! The sense of accomplishment, the thrill of the knowing that you can do it and then not being able to wait until you can go to sleep and do it again!

      I'm so happy for you!

You just answered your own question. It's a shame it took so long but, now that you broke the ice, you're going to have an easier time from now on as long as you stick to it.

      Congratulations

How long has the Question been adopted, Adam? Or The Question, how long have you been adopted? lol

I'm wondering if adoption is worth it... not sure yet!

      Yay or nay?

I've never been on either end of the adoption situation but I do know that when you have support like that and when you see that some one else is pulling for you then it can make things easier. That goes for most things in life.

So, I'll put in a vote in support of the adoption program.

Ya it really is great to know someone actually is rooting for you and you can go to them for help and really anything!

So this is acceptable language here? And for that matter acceptable behaviour towards others?
Hmmm. I had the idea this was a family style site. Guess I was wrong, does this mean I have shit on my face too?
