My LD showed me the future.

Okay, this is a quite big question for me in my life still today, two years after the dream. This is my was my third LD in my life.

It was about one week before I should start working as a trainee one a fire station. I knew someone from the school should come with me but I was unsure who would, there were like 500 ppl on my school and it could be anyone of them. Then I got this dream when I was standing inside the firestation(had never been inside it before),and a guy from school showed up,I know who it is but I ushally dont talk to him much. So I thought what evah a wierd dream so what?

then one week later Im sitting at the station, and I have almost forgot the whole dream by then, then the friend I meet in the dream showed up,I was like a big question mark when the thoughts of my dream last week poped up in my head. And then it came to mind that the firestation was pretty much the same as in the dream also.

Mostly of the ppl who I tell this story to dont believe me,but I dont care since I know for sure that its all true. And this dream is one of the few reasons why Im here, and I want to explore the world of dreams.

sorry for using a poor language, but I think you got the point of what I was telling.

Sounds more like a coincidence from the way you explained it.

nice to see a swedish brother here
that's some pretty weird stuff youre talking about. Are you sure it was a lucid dream, did you know you were dreaming at that point? did you try to change or control something? it would be really freaky if you put that guys hair on fire and it started to burn in real life

i've also had some strange future telling dreams. in one I saw what was going to happen in a movie. maybe it just was a coinsidence, but who knows...

You'd actually be suprised how many people tell me in a mysterious way "you know i've actually once had a pre-cog dream" whenever I talk to people about LD's (which I dont anymore, since nobody gets it and starts talking about crap like that). Its all coincidence, and when you remember a dream there are many parts that you've actually forgotten but that are made up... I wrote some stuff in my journal the minute i woke up, then during the day
I thought about the dream again and knew how it happened and upon reading in my journal I realised that it wasnt like that, but that my dream got blended by stuff that happened the day before etc.

that sort of thing has happened to me several times.
i don't know if it's a coincidence or not. for some strange reason, i don't remember waking up, seeing what ever i saw, then going back to sleep.

once, i remember dreaming that i was in my living room, and i peeked through the blinds, and i saw that everthing was grey, the street was wet, and it was raining.

i wake up, i go downstairs to the living room, i peek through the blinds, and i see the exact same thing i saw in my dream. it was sunny the day before, and i don't remember waking up at all. even if i did, say to use the bathroom, i wouldn't go downstairs, 'cause i have a bathroom next to my room.

this happened again a few days ago. i dreamt that i saw my bro's laundry (load of whites) on the couch downstairs. i wake up. i go downstairs, and i see the load of whites my bro did over night. (we like to do laundry @ 3a for some reason)

i have absolutely no recollection of waking up, and going downstairs.

      wierd, and kinda freaky.

      o.b.e maybe??? ;p

thats interesting. It may be a coincidence but its still cool. What are the chances that you would dream about THAT person out of 500, especially as you dont talk to him that much. Usually if I dream about someone I know in real life, it will be a close friend or someone that I have spent a lot of time with.

There may be other less obvious things in your dreams that may predict future events, do you keep a dream journal? If so, check back to it every once in a while and see if anything else happened like this.

Predictive Dreams Tend to be Lucid AND Vivid

This exact thing happened to me about 5 years ago (I've been having regular LDs for about 8 years). I had a very vivid lucid dream where a man came up to me and introduced himself by his first name and gave me an important message, but told me not to tell him when I met him. Two weeks later, I met this person (same name, and an unusual one at that) and we ended up having a very intense and fulfilling relationship for 2 years.

I've also had other predictive dreams, but they tend to be about silly things (like predicting that someone was going to be asked to cut his long hair, and that evening he was asked to do so by his boss).

In all cases, I can tell it's a predictive lucid dream in that it tends to be VERY lucid and more to the point/short. So I tend to tell the subject of the dream the next morning so they can use the information (I figure that must be why I'm having them).

I do believe in future predicting dreams. I have known many people who have told me about them, but more convincing to me, I have had lots of them. I am not a believer in the supernatural, but I do believe in extra senses of the human mind. Some have evolved in the human population more than others. I believe in ESP. When I say "believe", that doesn't mean that I don't leave room for doubt.

Right about the moments the World Trade Center got hit on 9/11, I had a dream about the United States being attacked. The dream was very complex and full of extra stuff, which I think might have been symbolic. But basically, the U.S. got attacked by a jealous leader. He was jealous because of U.S. affection toward a side other than his. (The nations/groups were represented by people, and I think they might have represented players in the Arab/Israeli conflict, and the United States is hated by many Arab leaders for protecting Israel. Please don't let this turn into a political argument. Protecting Israel, I'm sure everybody agrees, is at least one reason certain Arab leaders hate the United States.) Any way, the United States was attacked, and the person responsible was visible to me in the dream. I saw fire, and the face of the person responsible was transparent and in front of the fire. He was wearing a white cap (I couldn't see what the cap looked like in the back.) and had a long, black beard. I then woke up, right after a plane had flown into the World Trade Center.

A while later, I had another dream about international terrorism. In this one, a tower that I often see in my dreams conveyed a message to me that somebody major had been caught in the war against terrorism. I woke up with a strong feeling that there was something to the dream. I turned on my television and found out right then that Khallid Sheik Muhammed had been captured. He was the guy who orchestrated the details of the 9/11 attacks.

I have had many other dreams involving events that happened right about that time, such as watching a movie I haven't seen in ages that ends up in real life being on T.V. the next day. I am not 100% convinced that this is psychic, but I would say that it most likely is.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

      similar experiences

My brother has a similar ability of foretelling disasters just moments before or as they happen (I was with him when he told me my mother had been in a car accident, and then a few years later when he claimed his friend Gary had been in a motorcycle accident, both of which had just happened). He has had other experiences of knowing just before plane crashes and earthquakes (every time, he's physically affected and feels a little flu-like).

Others in my family have PSI abilities, but each is different (perhaps it's true that this tends to run in families).

The predictive experiences I've had are only through lucid dreams, so perhaps this is also your 'gateway'. The key is to write them down as soon as you have them, or better yet, call a friend so you have solid 'proof' before the event occurs.

Of course, you need to play skeptic and make sure there was nothing in your environment that affected you while you were dreaming (like the news being on).

With time, you'll begin to tell the difference between a predictive LD and just a standard one (the predictive ones tend to be very direct, vivid, with messengers having a specific memorable message & not shapeshifting as much but more 'solid' or real).

Hope this helps, and have fun!

I think you just fill in the blanks with certain things. Sort of like the "Live for a hundred years in your dream" paradox, where you think you've lived that long, but in reality you have only added your own memories to things you've never experienced. I.e, the sights and sounds of your "wedding" might have been grafted from a previous wedding you've gone to, or saw on TV. That maybe what happens a lot, and what's happened to me when I think I've had a pre-cognition dream.

You see, I'm in a conversation, and all of a sudden I'm like "this is familiar..." (in my head of course), and I stop the conversation dead and say to my friends "Wait...haven't we done this before?" and they look at me like I'm crazy. I thought it was some crazy deja vu, but really the experience "reminded" me of a dream I "had", but really just filled in the blanks.
