I HATE feeling like im new at this..

I had a dream last night that I went in to a store to buy a car charger for my phone, then I thought to myself "why would I buy one if I already HAVE one?"
but I went in there anyway thinking there must be some other reason for me to go in there and I'm just using an excuse...

I KNOW something there was trying to hint me that I was dreaming, but I didnt catch on to it
It makes me mad, because BEFORE I knew IT had a name (lucid dreams) It was SOOOOOO easy for me to have an LD, and at the FIRST smallest clue Id realise it right away, I feel completely new at this!!!
Before you tell yourself Its just a different scene
Remember its just different from what you've seen

Don't worry, just realize that nothing has changed since you learned about lucid dreaming.
Other, that is, than your beliefs about it.
What you have to do is realize that lucid dreaming isn't hard at all! You make it hard by thinking it is.

Try and remember how you used to feel when you thought about "IT". Now do your best to make yourself think of it like that all over again.
Don't worry yourself with this "lucid dreaming" nonsense, try and forget about all of it for a couple of days; don't think about it at all, no matter what.

Don't try to have more lucids or anything, just relax like you used to before you heard about LDing. No pressure, you have all the time in the world.

      Dear Ivy:
I can feel your frustration. I think I hold the Guinness World Record for being the most dense person while dreaming. It doesn't matter how extreme the dream is, I wouldn't know it to be a dream if my life depended on it (despite my countless reality checks while awake, my subliminal cd i play during the night, keeping a dream journal etc etc). Anyways, unless we chose to simply give up, we need to stay postive and patient and make ourselves believe that lucid dreams are just around the corner.

You've just gotta remember, LDing is a skill you get better and better at. If you had no problems before, the only reason that your getting problems now is your reading about all the people having trouble with them.

Try not to go to sleep thinking, "This is the night i'm gonna LD!"
Just go to sleep like you used to. When you get another feeling like the one in the dream, Don't just let it slip by- You have to question everything!!

Ex. You might be driving to the store to buy a new radio for your car, and listening to the radio as you drive there!
You reveal that a reveal check reveals nothing.

I had exactly the same problem as you when I joined the forum in January, and had like a 6 month dry spell to over come. Happy to help out where ever I can, if you want to chat, PM me sometime,

Remember this is not perminant and you will overcome it, just be positive and good things will happen
