      my first LD

      not very vivid or anything

but I'm quite sure I had my first..

I had sat my alarm for 6 hours after I fall asleep and woke up.. dead tierd but tried to think about LDing and how I would realise it was a dream.. all of a sudden I was walking down the road with my best friend explaining him that this was a dream.. the streets were quite.. "bumby" (not sure if thats a word) but I explained him that he could fix that just by thinking of it to get fixed and the streets were all flat as pancakes..

he still didnt belive me and I told him that the princess of norway was standing behind this little bush right infront of us and she sure did!!

no idea why I "chose" just her.. but after that I showed him that Britney's Spears was just behind the same bush too! I was laughing in my dream becouse this was just soo funny..

! but the thing is.. I'm not sure if I was Lucid in this dream? could it be just a normal dream I had ? becouse I didnt try to do anything.. kinda like I went with the flow.. if u know what I mean

      Greeting from Norway, Trondheim.

How did you get from being awake in your bed, to being in a LD?

I've had dreams like that too, where I felt like I was lucid while I was dreaming, but when I woke up, I was doubtful of whether I was lucid or not. It was almost as though I was dreaming about lucid dreaming.

Lucidity has nothing to do with "control" (meaning that you can be in a lucid dream.. but still not be able to affect any changes).

Lucid dreaming is merely the "awareness" that you are dreaming WHILE you're dreaming.

Did you ever say (or think) to yourself, "I'm dreaming?" and, if so, did you BELIEVE this statement/thought to be true? If so, then you were definately lucid.

Next time, if you're in doubt, do a "reality check". The reality check that has never failed me is the "plug my nose and see if I can breathe" reality check. It never hurts to do your favorite reality check a couple of times or even do two different ones.. just to really convince yourself!

great replies from all of you

I as I said - had my alarm on to wake me up after some hours of sleep and then drifted into sleep / this possibly LD^^

and Clairity I don't think I asked myself the question "am I dreaming" and I for sure didn't do any reality checks..

I'm quite sure I really just dreamed about LDing lol.. how silly of me not to understand that I could so easy turn it into a real LD...

      well.. tonight it is happening=D

      Good night everyone <3
