      Memories

This is a weird one... I cant find my original copy, so I hope I got everything right, Lost soul if you see or remember anything different from what I sent you feel free to correct me.

The dream started normaly, I was at my old place, it was hot out, I decided to go for a swim in the lake, got my bathing suit on, grabbed a towel, walked across the street and to the water rights we had, I jumped in and swam around a bit, I headed out twards one of the islands, avoiding the heavy traffic lanes of motor boats.
I was about to get out of the water on one of the islands but something suddenly started pulling me under water, and out away from the island.
I realised I had to be dreaming, I tried to wake up, but I couldent, the pull got stronger, sucked me underwater, I tried holding onto some of the roots of the trees on the island, that had made their way out underwater, they were slimy and slippery, I started to be sucked under the muck and mire, I didnt attempt trying to breath, I had a weird feeling it wouldent work.
I got sucked under, there was a quick feeling of falling and then.

The serinanth you all know was gone, I was still me, but not.

I was in my armour, on a battlefield the sounds of war about me, I wondered breifly what had caught my attention, but did not have time to think about it, my mind focused on the task at hand, surviving and taking down as many foe as I could. It raged on for a while, many friends and foes had fallen, the fighting had now separated into sparse groups.

I was alone, yet I was not afraid I knew my training far surpassed many on this dusty field.

(crap) my memory of this is blurry, I knew every detail about these next moments, but they are gone now.. crap cra crap...

I encountered some foes, I think two, damnit, I knew where each footstep took me and what happend ahh!

They had a kind of clawed gauntlet on one of their hands and in the other a short Wakizashi (a smaller version of a katana)

they attacked in unison, I smashed on in the face with the butt of my katana, hopped back and stabbed at the other, (I had much longer reach)

This part I still remember clearly.

The other was already back in my face and slashed at me with his short sword which I deflected high and nicked his arm, his sword spun out of his hand, but his clawed gauntlet quickly came at my throat, I blocked again and it caught my sword, this is what they were used for, if he still had his short sword I would have been in a shitty perdicament. He looked fearfull, I was a much larger person than he, and was beginning to overpower him, I was about to...his fear lessend, his helmet, a shiny brass or bronze, I saw another foe, he was quickly coming approaching by back silently, my gaze returned to the man I was already engaged with, I remember keeping my eyes on him
...I continued the movement, but altered my target,
drawing my own wakizashi, with my right hand, my left still holding my katana and the foe in front of me, I wrested himto the right, over my leading left leg, and in the same movement, swung back and up in a crecent, I didnt look, the scream and the feeling of my blade passing through flesh and bone was enough to know that I cut the mans arm clean off.

The man in front of me, was now very afraid, on the ground, I watched the hope drain out of his eyes, it was like he was already dying before I killed, him. I will never forget the look on his face.

I had to kill him, if I didnt he would have done the same to me.

My mind jumped again, back to me, but straight into the waking world.

This was a very strong dream for me, feels more like a memory than a dream, the only reason I know its a dream was due to the introduction.

So first you are sucked under by an unknown force in a lake and then you are fighting these two guys? Pretty random Were you yourself when you were fighting? Or were you protraying someone else? Were you lucid when you were fighting? Just curious...

I was me but like I said not the me all of you know. At the moment it all seemed completely normal, this place was just a blink of the eye, a momentary wandering of the mind.
No I was not lucid, I was to busy trying to stay alive and take down as many enemies as I could.

Was I self aware and consious at the time?.

      Yes.

When you where got Lucid as you were getting pulled under, y didn't you just phase out of dimension and fly out, or let it take you in and rembered tht you could breath under water. I often like to use my fear for inducing Lucidtiy. And when i do become lucid, i use all sorts of scifi ways of solving my problems.

Like I have said before, it dosent work that way for me, it usualy takes alot of time for me to figure out what rules I can bend or break, and in this instance I am sure I would have choked, when I do have the ability It comes as second nature and I have no fear of it. I also most of the time cannot just change the entire dream, when I have actually accomplished that feat Aside from taking way to much energy the dream falls apart and I wake up with a headache. I did manage phasind through some glass the other day (evil in the office). I tried the spinning technique I just get dizzy for the most part, It worked for me once and the dream was very unstable and I woke up.

And you think I was not excieted? I was being dragged underwater by some unknown force, I thought I was going to dround! I knew it was a dream but that does not make instincutal fears just vanish, If I had control of the situation it would be a different story.

Lucidity does not automatically give me god-like powers, it means I have become aware of my environment, aware of my self, and that in all likelyhood its a dream, Doing things requires output of energy on my part. Just like It does here, On occasion I can tap into another energy source to suppliment my own, but that happens rarely and its way to much power, and it scares me.
