      One step ahead.

I have had the topic of de ja vu on my mind as of late. And when I were to discuss it, the best way for me to explain it would be that I feel like i have had the scene accur before, like most, but I feel like I am just a step behind what is going to happen before it does. I never catch up before it ends. I often thought , wow, what if? what if I actually said this is going to happen and it does.
Anyway. I finally did....................However, it was in a dream. It was still a remarkable feeling. It felt as how I thought it would - of coarse because my own mind made it up. how else would it percive it?
Once I became Lucid I had a ton of thoughts running through my head and I was like playing with time. I was right on the edge of past and present.

My "de ja vu" experiences are nothing like anyone else's I've ever heard. When I experience one, I never ever feel like I've "dreamt this before", but rather, I ALWAYS feel like I've actually DONE it before in waking life. And the feeling is only temporary (unless I really HAD done it before, hehe). I dunno, guess I'm brain damaged.

Huh? I was under the impression that most thought they had done it before not dreamed it before. I have had both but mostly it seems like it has happened before. By the way it is a minor brain misfunction, the brain stores a shadow memory of the current memory in the far off past, making it seem like we've done it before. That's the most common cause at least, others could be actually having done it before or having a dream similar to it.

Most of my dejavus are like "I've done that before" but that's not all.

Then i actually remember few seconds ahead. So It's like seeing future of something.

this feeling is very very hard to explain

I know what you mean, I've done that aswell. I find that this is probably the memory of a similar dream explaination.

That's what the H I am trying to explain. One step ahead. Like into the future. Crazy!
It does not last long though.

One step ahead of deja vu

I have a crazy stoy about deja vu that I don't expect anyone to believe. I was walking around my home-town a few years ago with my brother, talkigng about deja vu. We had both been experiencing intense deja vu a lot lately. So real, that sometimes I'd just be in total shock."Holy crap, this already happened!" As we we're walkign and talking about it I got INTENSE deja vu. I started knowing what was gonna happen about one second before it did. Every second. It felt like I was just re-living something I clearly had already lived before. Then I wanted to see if I could extend this power beyond one second. I stopped and an image flashed in my mind. Someone handing me a green, camping cup, by a sink at work. The next day, a girl at work walked up to me at this same sink and handed me a green Nalgene cup, saying "I finally got you one".
I had told her that I liked her cup months ago, and she said she would get me one, but hadn't talked about it for months and didn't tell me what color she'd get! When I told people at work they thought I was insane. They just laughed.
