      I'm finally getting lucid

Hey everybody, I've been trying to have lucid dreams for about a year now, but with no success, probably because I haven't be devoted to it. However, a few weeks ago I had my first lucid experience. I was lucky enough to look at a clock in my dream to trigger it. After that I was in a completely white room but I knew I was lucid dreaming because I could feel my presence and it was awesome. A couple days ago the same situation occurred in my dream. I looked at the time, realized I was dreaming, and went straight to lucidity. However, it was the same situation. I was in a white room, completely aware of myself. I could feel my hands on my body and everything. I was taking control. I made a girl appear. I made grass appear but then I slipped out of control and back into a dream. I'm having trouble staying in the lucidity.
      Any suggestions?

      Thanks,
      lisardo89

if possible, once you begin to start seeing things fade, start spinning around. i didnt think that technique worked but apparently it does.

try not to let your excitement get a hold of you either

      lisardo89, welcome to Dream Views!

You could first try to increase your vividness by confidently stating aloud "increase lucidity" or "clarity now".

I would then recommend that you "ground" yourself in the dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it can be).

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also increases the vividness of the dream along with helping me remain in it longer).

Also, there is no "try" when you're lucid.. only "do". You must KNOW that there is nothing you can't have nor perform while in your dream.

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".
