      WILDing

after having been on this site, and also purchasing "exploring the world of lucid dreaming" by stephen laberge, all i have really learned about the WILDing technique was that it is best done whilst lying on your back in a bed, or sitting in a somewhat comfortable chair. my question is if there are any of you out there that WILD regularly, without lying on your back, perhaps on your side? because i for one am NOT a back sleeper. its nearly impossible to even be relaxed when lying on my back and i honestly dont think i have once in my life, fallen asleep that way. help? < that smiley is awesome

Yes, it is possible to WILD on your side, and many people do it this way. WILD is different for every person, and gradually you will find what is the best WILD technique for you, and tweak this technique until you will find what works for you best.

I too dont like sleeping on my back, I can WILD on my side. I think i did it last night.

Also, i read in a book on dream yoga that it is better for men to sleep on their right side <which i already did anyway> and women on their left. somthing to do with the energy flows. heard of this?

I've only had one WILD, and I happened to be lying face down at the time. But I have noticed that the dreams I have while lying on my back (lucid or not) seem to be more intense and vivid all the time.

When I try to WILD on my back, gravity pulls my mouth open and dries my mouth out, but when I try to do it on my side, I can never get my arms in a comfy position...
      reality check. etc...

I read that as well but, for some reason, I tend to fall asleep quicker on my right side.
