Just had a 10 second lucid dream and lost it....

I just woke up from a nap in which I now remember about 4 seperate dreams from, and one in particular I know was a lucid dream... I remember halfway waking up, then tellin myself I was dreaming, going back to sleep, and then I created a dreamscape where i was like holy shit!! I did it! I said aloud in my dream "hot girl appear" and when nothing happened, i told myself there would be a girl right around the corner, and sure enough there was. I then proceeded to kneel down, and just as we were about to make out, it started gettin real fuzzy and i was like NOOO and tried my hardest to concentrate, but then it all went away....this was the first lucid dream ive had in about a year(Im just starting to get interested in this) it was the coolest thing ever and i remember being amazed at how real it seemed....i wish i would have spun or something...

Sex is the first thing that comes to mind? lol. You can do anything you can concieve of and of course its gotta be sex! (or making out) lol. Just kidding, everyone is a victom to that hehe.

But seems to me that making out in dreams, and even trying to you know...it never gets accomplished. I guess its because you have to zero in on specific things...

At best, for me, dreams are only good enough for porn! lol.

lol I wasn't able to do that till recently and I consider myself a very powerful lucid dreamer. I can control my real body and my dream body at will. I can morph my surroundings and all, but, sexual feelings is not really to attainable to most. I'd say try something else thats fun and leave sex to real life.. I like it in real life better anyways

jbrink2007, congratulations on your lucid dream.

For those new to lucid dreaming, I advise that you don't try to set the lucid world on fire your first few dreams.. don't try to do too many tricks, summon people, etc. Simply go with the flow and take it all in. Get used to what being lucid FEELS like so you can ground yourself in your dreams.. that's when the tricks/stunts can happen.

Your first few dreams simply act like a tourist in a new place.. go sightseeing and take in all the different colors and sounds. You may try to increase your vividness by confidently declaring "increase lucidity" or "clarity now" but that would be the extent of control I would recommend for struggling dreamers.

I still have to remind myself the moment I become lucid to get "grounded" in my dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it could be) instead of immediately racing to do something before I lose lucidity.

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also helps me remain in the dream longer).

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".

I guess I shoulda included that. DON'T try to do all the random stuff right away wait like 5 mins, scope out things as the guy above me said. Play around, walk around in and out of doors and just explore, after a few mins your body will be in a state that its harder to get just woken up by trying to walk. Example is if you try to fly you probably wake up because you tried to hard. If you wait 10 mins or so and just relax in your environment and talk to people remind yourself you are dreaming by having stupid conversations. Like Dude I can't believe you slept with the pope last night. This keeps you in a reality mindset because your dream world engulfs you fast if you don't keep up with it.
