Has this happened to you ever?

Okay, last night was my second night on trying to have a LD. I think I was like half awake trying to relax and sort of half asleep seeing a dream mabye. I remember that this happened at least twice, and when it did I was like, hey, mabye this is a dream, because the half that was kind of awake told me that, then I looked at my hand, six fingers, then that dream just went away and not half half anymore, just my reality side, ever happen to any of you guys? thanks.

I'd been in the place between asleep and awake you mention. One time, I was getting more and more relaxed, and I could feel that something huge was about to happen. I was getting excited about that, feeling that I was going to go into a dream directly from being awake and aware. But...before I could find out the big thing that I knew was coming, my husband rolled over and put his arm around me, waking me up completely.

Now, I've only had 2 dreams that I was aware it was a dream. Both of those faded shortly after I became lucid. The one last night actually allowed me a little bit of time to work on the problem I had in the dream before I woke up. I believe, from what I've read and experienced myself, that it can be fairly common for the dreams to fade shortly after becoming lucid. I'm no expert though.

What the...? That "place between asleep and awake" happens to me every night! Does that mean I could become lucid?
And yes, Curtis, that is exactly what happens to me every night.

This only happens to me when I set myself to try to observe myself falling asleep.
If I can stay awake for long enough, usually I have several "mini-dreams" before falling asleep. Once, one of the vizualizations led me into a lucid dream, too.

haha, I sometimes have these mind-bogglign experiences. I guess it just feels pretty weird, liek you were not sure if you were awake or dreaming because, in fact, it was all a dream. So you might have gotten lucid for a split second yeah sometimes lucidity is so strange that you doubt it was a lucid dream. But if you told yourself you were dreaming, then that's about it!
