      How am I doing?

      Hey...

I decided to explore the world of lucid dreaming for myself. This is my statistic for my (little less than) first month and I'd just like to know how am I doing. I've had my first lucid dream on the 3rd night of writing my dream journal. All in all I've had 15 lucid dreams during this first month. Of course they didn't last long, most were very short and the ability to control those dreams also varied, but I was aware that I was dreaming in all cases. I have not yet extracted the dreamsigns from my journal, but am about to do that shortly. I've also reached the record of recalling (in various detail) 8 dreams in a single night.
My next goal is to extend the clarity and length of lucid dreaming.

I will greatly appreciate all comments and suggestions. How is my progress? Perhaps this would also be a nice topic to post your own statistics, so that people can compare..

off to the dreamland (hopefully lucid... )

      Hey, good job!!

I recalled 10 dreams this morning!! But on average I recall about 6. I have yet to have a LD since I joined, but I think I'm on my way.. I'm starting to experience FAs, which I haven't experienced in years.. and also, I'm semi-lucid almost every night. It's hard to explain.. I kind of consciously examine the dream and adapt to it accordingly, but it's still not exactly lucid. Oh I dunno, now I'm just confusing myself.

Anyway, good luck achieving your goals! Do you use any special techniques to achieve LDs? Sounds like you're a bit of a natural.

...Just had another LD.. and what is so special about this one? It was my FIRST dream after I fell asleep. Perhaps it has to do something with falling asslep late. I went to bed at cca. 2.30 AM, but couldn't fall asleep beacuse of a buzzing mosquito. (no, it wasn't a dream ) Unfortunatelly I have a very light sleep and at 4 A.M, I decided enough was enough and had to commit a homicide. The evidence is still there in the form of a tiny black spot on my recently painted white wall. I think it took me about half an our to fall assleep and at 5 A.M., I woke up realizing, I was one LD richer...

I was at home, in a dream version of my room. For some reason I was putting a sandwich into a plastic bag which was also full of other stuff and tieing it up. Then I put this bag under the sofa for some reason (probably to hide it). The floor was quite dusty. There was also a wasp-like spider under the sofa. I went to the bathroom and saw a bigger black spider crawling on the floor. I was afraid that it would come towards me, so I half-closed the door. It came out and was crawling along the floor. Then it occured to me that this was a bizzare situation. Bingo! I am in a dream. I jumped over the spider and ran to the window. I lifted myself up and flew through the window. Outside there was a dark misty canyon with a pine tree forest on each side, it was partly covered in snow and it had a stream in the middle of it. I wanted to get out of this environment, so I started to fly vertically along the steep rising on the right side of the canyon. Again I was gaining speed very fast and the sense of speed was also realistic. I found myself in dark clouds. Then I imagined a way out. Suddenly I saw a faint light piercig through the distant clouds. I flew towards the lighter clouds. As I found myself above the clouds. There was a pure darkness with white line patterns flashing in the distance. It was something electronic. Quite psychadelic. I was turning around as I watched this so at one point I was looking at the pattern upside down. Then I realised there is no up and down if you are in a weightless state.

I am quite satisfied since this LD was a little longer than the others. I really must get rid of the habit to fly out of the old dream scene. I keep thinking I must fly away to change my dream. I heard there were some other techniques to change the dream scene.

So far my only technique is the dream journal. I am trying Wake back to bed method right now, as I write this lines. I hope it will work since I already had a LD tonight...

      thanks

Hmm... well looking at what you've written there I'd say you are doing pretty damn good. It takes most people , myself included, A LOT longer than that to get those kinds of results. Seems like you may be a natural.

I remember having quite a few lucid dreams when I was little. Of course in puberty I mostly wanted to have sexual fantasies as soon as I realized it is a dream and that I am completely free. Some of those dreams I remember even today. Then the lucid dreams have abandoned me for a number of years. Unil now...I was very happy when I recently found out that one can actually be trained to become lucid. Now I can finally have my "old powers" back. I was always wondering if there is a way to actually dream what you wish for. Can hardly wait to see what the future will bring.

Is that supposed to go with puberty?

Well, no... but since I am now able to enjoy sex in real life, I would like to spend my LD sessions visiting different environments, doing stuff I've never done before, testing my imagination etc. There are just so many things to explore in lucid dreams that in my opinion it is a waste of LD potential to use all LD as a realisation of one's sexual fantasies. In fact I entered a room that resembled a harem in one of my LD once. Girls were lying half naked all across the room in their round beds. I'm sure I could've had the orgy of my life. But instead I just told the girls to go back to sleep, as I decided to explore the dreamworld some more.
But hey, no harm in letting yourself off the leash every once in a while...

      Summoned myself

I recall only around 2 dreams each night but ALWAYS remember my lucid ones (well I guess I think I do!), whether I wake up straight after or not. I had an unbelievable one on Sunday morning that started with a false awakening. Then I realised cuz the hotel I was in didnt look right. My mate said I wasnt dreaming and I looked at a clock and it said about the right time it would have been. So i flew through a window to show him it was a dream and when I say through, I dont mean breaking it - I had a weird sensation of physically passing through the window.

Then I summoned myself! But the closer I got to me, the more I turned into a different person, and I ended up being black with an afro! How weird. I asked myself questions about my current relationship with an ex and i started to answer but loud music blocked my replies and I tried to command the music to stop but it wouldnt, and I woke up - blahhh!
Lucid at least once a week, mainly on weekends.
