      Biological Video Card

Well, to kick things off, it has been a while since i have tried to or had a dream at all. Two or three years ago, i found this site and was quite dedicated to teaching myself lucid dreaming. After a few months, i was having vivid dreams almost every day, but i would never realize i was dreaming no matter how weird it was. Eventually, i would realize i was dreaming for a second, but then instantly wake up.

I wanted to lucid dream for a few main reasons. One was to get to know myself better. Talk with my conscience. The other was to see how powerful the brain really is. How much of the real world can it render? What are it's capabilities? Can it simulate realistic and complicated physics? Can it continue to keep track of objects positions even when not being concentrated on?

After months of practice, I finally got what i was working for. A lucid dream. I was sitting on my sofa in the living room when i realized it. Everything was completely normal, almost like real life, except everything was dark. But it didn't seem like there was a lack of light. It was more of a lack of existence.

So now fully "awake" i began to explore my house to see how well my brain rendered it. I looked at the coffee table, nothing spectacular. Then i looked at the rug. It was perfect, each and every fiber of the carpet was there. It was incredible.

I then got up and began to walk around. I went to the kitchen sink to see how well i rendered water. I turned it on and watched in complete awe of how each droplet, each bubble in the water, the water itself, filling my hands and pouring over. How the water warped the light, how the bubbles moved in the turbulence. It was amazing. I wanted to see more, but just then, i woke up.

Yes, it was a terrible disappointment, but it was also an amazing experience. Then ext thing i wanted to do was have a nice chat with myself in my next lucid dream. Each night i looked forward to it, thinking hard, concentrating...
but sadly, that day never came. I began to give up on ever having another lucid dream and eventually lost interest.

I suppose i'm writing this now because something has sparked my interest in it again. i have been reminded how great it felt to be exploring the inside of my conscience. i wanted to share this experience. i'm going to start working on dreaming again.
