Instead of just touching your nose, pinch your nose and try to breathe through it. You will be able to breathe in your dream and will know you are dreaming. This is quick and always works for my as it got me my first two lucid dreams. |

I know of many different things you can do during your reality checks, one of these is touching one's nose. I've formed a habbit; every time during a waking day I experience great emotion or I open a door, I perform a RC. I examine my surroundings, sometimes touch my nose, and try to fly ect. |

Do a reality check.
I bite my tounge to see if it hurts, it's sort of like pinching yourself but more discreet |

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it
Here's a thread which contains various ways to reality check |

one that hasnt failed me yet is to look at words, turn away, then read the words again to see if they change. Another good one I have started to use is *slightly* pulling on your fingers to see if they will pop off. Plus, once you pop them off when your dreaming you can do fun things with them, such as putting them on the other hand |
