6 Months or so later, and I finally get my 2nd LD!

So I had another lucid dream last night, my second ever. YAY

      Let's start from the beginning:

In this particular sleep cycle - my last of the evening - I'd had several dreams, and apparently failed to stay awake during my attempted WILD, however my awareness came back in a kind of gap in the dreams, where it was mostly blackness with random imagery; essentially what would happen with a WILD. Anyway, I realised that I was on the verge of having a dream and managed to enter it with no problems. There was some plot towards the end, but I didn't pay much attention to it and just went around doing whatever for the most part.

Instantly, after doing a reality check (the nose pinch) to make sure, I took off through the wall of my bedroom. None of this clarifying business, no need to trick my mind with objects (such as say a jetpack), just extremely fast self-propelled flight. One word accurately conveys the sensation: WHOA!

And yeah, I did yell that out as I was flying. I don't think anyone can blame that!

I actually ended up flying above the cloud layer, and one thing that struck me was how real it felt. I could feel the wind and hear it rustling my clothing, and of course got the sensation of acceleration and gravity and suchlike. The only slight disappointment was that the clouds didn't appear to be volumetric, but flat. Oh and hovering at a constant height took a bit of practice.

Anyway, I decided to fly back down to the ground, and then to turn 'flight mode' off (again with a bit of difficulty) to feel what it would be like under gravity. And then, for the hell of it, I decided to conjure up a parachute. Not because I was afraid of hitting the ground or anything. And amazingly it worked very well; I just had to close my dream eyes and focus on it, and with a brief pop, there it was. Strangely enough though, my parachute had no pull to open it, so I had to make that appear as well, but I got there in the end.

The next thing I decided to try once I landed - which upon reflection appears to be a street near to where I live - was some good old
telekinesis. Again, it worked perfectly. Must have been quite bizarre for anyone in that dream world, to see me randomly making lamp posts and telephone poles rip out of the ground and fly towards me. Anyway, my control of this was excellent; I was able to catch them (and then wield them effortlessly). Apparently two telephone poles makes a bit of a crack when you hit them together like drumsticks!

I after my bit of telekinesis, I spotted a passer by and wondered what it would happen if I hit them with one of these poles. A moral impulse kicked in at this point, but it's only a dream so what the hell. Strangely enough it seemed to knock a piece out of that person's leg. A neat piece that vanished, it's almost like a small section of piping was missing from larger pipe. Bizarre.

The final superpowers I decided to try were some lightning and some good old fireballs. The first one again worked perfectly (I found
making balls of them in my hand like Elle in the 2nd series of Heroes) worked well. The fireball thing took 2 attempts. The first only produced a small burst of flame. The second one produced a much more impressive looking fireball with red and gold flames on it; I used the hand conjuring method thing again the 2nd time.

The final thing I tried of any interest was to create a tuxedo; might as well look good whilst flying around no?! I created the trousers
just fine but had some trouble getting the material texture right, and when I eventually managed it, the dream started to end. It was too late that I remembered to try spinning, but I did get to wake up and write this up, so it's not the end of the world. I don't think I could have done anything anyway; the dream seemed to end not out of excitement but because it was the end of the sleep cycle.

There was some vague plot with Peter Petrelli hiding in a shopping mall or something (Huh?), and towards the end I was supposed to go and tackle an evil cult or something (Huh?) but I woke up before I could do anything. I think there was also a false awakening in there somewhere, which I caught with another nose pinch RC.

Overall amazing stuff. Would have been nice if it were longer, but I'm very pleased that my dream control appears to be so good, given that this is only my second LD. And flying at insane speeds is awesome!

Congrats on the awesome dream! I think your doing very well.
You may not have LDs very often so far, but that sounds like it was much longer and clearer than any I've had.

And your a man with the same dream ambitions as me. Kick ass with powers, and meet people from Heroes Fantastic.
I've met Elle Bishop so far (enjoyed that meeting very much, lol), and Peter Petrelli in a non-lucid.

      Your dream control is fantastic.
I seem to have more control in non-lucids. I'm constantly shotting electricity, flying, telekinesis-ing and such, but once I'm lucid I've been having trouble with all that lately. So I envy you.

Congrats, I'm sure now that you've had such an awesome LD, you'll probably have them much more often as your confidence in doing it will have increased.

I'd be interested to know what your first LD was like.

Thanks for the response, and yeah, I seem to have an innate ability to control lucid dreams well. Not that it's perfect (yet), but given what I've read on these forums, it does appear to be developing impressively quickly.

As for my first LD, I posted it in this very forum as well:

Actually, it seems it was more than 6 months since my last one. Oh well!
