I havent noticed much difference between levels of control and initiation/ induction method, perhaps because I've never thought about it like that - I will pay more attention (thanks ).

What I do notice is that when fully lucid I can choose the level of control. There seems to be a a scale of awareness/ control which starts with a normal dream where I am just a character in my own dream (often watching myself - third person) - to fully conscious where I can change the entire dream scenario and manipulate all the characters and objects within it. The main point about all this is that I have the best fun, and the most potent dreams - I believe the Tibetans would say 'dreams of clarity' (i.e. dreams where I really learn something about myself/ life/ the universe) when I am fully lucid but choose to not control the whole dream, just my own actions. I let my mind be film director as-it-were and just concentrate on what I am doing. I can then forget that I am lucid but retain full awareness and control of my actions. I feel less like I am 'cheating' this way - e.g. if I meet a dream monster and simply will it into a harmless fluffy bunny I've not really confronted my fears.
