      Cool really strange false awakening

i awoke, with eyes open, but i could close them if i wanted.
but every time i tried to get up, i would sit up in bed, and then ill find my self with eyes open again back in bed, every time this happened, got a little frustrated with this, and decided to close my eyes and try to get up, and i could stay in the siting up position for as long as i wanted, but soon as i opened my eyes, presto I'm back in bed with eyes open, my computer desk is basically beside my bed, so i closed my eyes , and kinda rolled out of bed to speak while keeping my eyes shut, i felt for my keyboard, and thought cool cool must be awake then or a better stabilised dream? don't know...
and i pressed a key, i heard my computer fire up, i always got in on.
and i thought cool i opened my eyes, and i was back in bed again, i thought stuff it.
it was strange for i could really feel everything with my eyes shut but not open.

Cool, these are always interesting if dream events pop into what you think is the waking world and you catch on. I find a pleasant surprise like this can bring the rare and sought after state of euphoria on waking for me.

There is a bad side if you spend too much time doing this intentionally. You may be 1/2 awake in the real world and have a very strong day dream because you are essentially training your brain to hit delta when you think you are dreaming. I have a friend who has done this a couple of times and it can be most frightening to slip into what you think is a dream only to find out you are not really dreaming when you do something really stupid and the real laws of physics are applied.

      Well that was interesting.
Can't say I'm envious though. Something like that would probably infuriate me.

If it happens again you should imagine you're somewhere else and reach around to see if the environment changes to fit what you imagine is there.
