      Interesting LD

So I became lucid spontaneously, and I was in my house. I wanted to try to fly. However, my ceiling was too low, so I wanted to jump out of the window and see if I could levitate. However, when I had the window opened, I became scared that my sleeping body might actually be sleepwalking and about to jump out the window, killing me. I was then too scared, so I decided not to jump. This is odd, considering I know that sleep paralysis exists and that you can't hurt yourself in a dream.

I can see how you could be scared about that. Just remember, when your dreaming, w/e you do in your dream has nothing to do with real life.

Jumping out windows; window open makes it easier; also attempting to see if there is something on the other side, or willing something to be there is good.

I've jumped out a window once and there was no scene loaded yet and I fell down through this gray space and woke up lolol (imagine when a video game bugs out and you fall through the map).

Next time, just go for it, see what happens!

There is Dark. And there is the balance between those two. Good and Evil are concepts, used to deny oneself from serving the balance. By serving, you participate in the great creation."

Any dream doubt when lucid messes with one entirely, rule one in LDing, never think too logically as to fear for physical results, you have to overcome that fear and just go for it.

Yeah, it was kinda stupid, now I wish I had been less tentative, so the next time i have an LD, out the window I will jump!

Just a quick addition, last night I had a lucid dream, and I was in the same place, so I overcame my fear and jumped. The following free fall was 100 feet, and then I hit a fountain that was 50 feet deep. I proceeded to breathe underwater, before surfacing. Thanks for all the support!

Yay! See, overcoming it is so worth the effort! I'm glad you did, now you can explore the dream world with no fears.
