My 4th LD! I woke myself with spinning AGAIN!

I can't believe i had another lucid last night. That's two in two nights and four total since January. I'm so excited! I suppose if i actually tried, i could have them even more often.

Anyway, i tried spinning AGAIN and woke myself. I don't know what i'm doing besides trying too hard, i guess.

The strange thing is, i don't remember the moment i became lucid. I just was. I was showing my sister a video game that i'm making in my spare time and we were looking at a map of a port town i just designed on the computer screen.

"Wow. That's beautiful!" she said. (The graphics are pretty crappy and i wouldn't call it beautiful but she thought so in my dream. hehe.)
"I know," i said, "Do you wanna go there?" She nodded and she climbed on my back piggy back style and we sort of jumped into the screen.

All of a sudden, we were IN the game, only the graphics were not crappy 2D anymore but REAL. We were standing on the ledge of a window on the second story of a building in an alley. It's raining and the sky is dark. My sister is still clinging to my back and i say, "Do you want me to jump?"
"NO!" she yells. "It's okay," i say, "I can do anything here but you are making me a little nervous. Get off my back for a second." She gets down and i open a window i suddenly realize we are standing in front of.

"Come on," i say and she grabs onto me. I jump in the window and float through the room. It's a messy place, filled with couches and blankets, rugs and big fat pillows. I put my sister down and say, "Well, where do you want to go? We can go anywhere we want because this is a dream."

I don't wait for her to answer, i just go to the center of the room and decide i'm going to start spinning. I say aloud, "When i finish spinning, we will be somewhere awesome." I didn't want to be too specific for fear it wouldn't work.

I start to spin and i get the same tingliing feeling i usually get right before i wake up, usually when i become lucid. I make only a few revolutions and i am immediately wide awake.

This is the second time i have awakened by spinning. Next time, i think i'll try verbally controlling the dream by saying "Increase vividness!" or some such thing. I think i just rushed in and tried to teleport myself somewhere and i should have spent more time stabilizing the dream scene i was in already.

Well, i can't help but be excited, though. This was the longest LD yet! Woohoo!

      Congratulations on your success!

I think I'd avoid the spinning for a while, it it wakes you up. It is interesting to shout commands; you should definitely try that. Rubbing your hand together can help stabilize the dream, or paying attention to details.

ive had a lil success with afirmations, also with hand rubbing, but the best success ive had is when i realise im in a dream i try forget i am actualy in a dream by trying to keep active and using my new powers like flying ect. I wish there was some kind of drug that when you are very pro at startign a lucid dream you could induce a slight coma to keep you in a sleep state and then imagen the possiablities to fully embrace your awakness int he dream... wow get what i mean?
