Weirdest Feeling Ever... Help me Out

So I have only ever had a few lucids, and never one that was all that great. However...

Last night I went to bed at 11:45. I had a dream that I was with a buddy of mine, but all of a sudden I started to feel limp. My whole body felt like it was falling asleep, and I was helpless to move hardly any part of my body. The dream quickly faded... probably about 15 minutes later in real life, I had another dream. This time my mother was pretending to cut me with scissors, opening and closing them just inches above me. I tried to push her off, but felt exceedingly weak and was taken back by how powerless I seemed. I forced myself awake and felt myself struggling to even push the covers off of me.

I think that I somehow felt in my dream, physically, what I was feeling in real life. My dream body fell asleep because I was falling asleep (but how could I dream if I wasn't asleep)? I found the whole thing so confusing that I walked over to my bed to record the experience. I had only been asleep for one hour, as I checked the clock and it said 12:45.

Have any of you ever had similar experiences? Does the short time of being asleep have any significance to the type of dreams I had?

I guess that after a hour of sleep you should be in a deep slumber... I have no idea what woke you up, but at that time you should have been in strong Sleep Paralyze... That is my theory... Do not count on it too much.

well maybe something made you feel week so your mind kept telling you that your body is weak and it came true, because whatever you think is reality is reality in dreams. just a guess though

It could just be one of those random things that happen in dreams

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

No, it sounds to me like you had SP and got confused. That is what happened.

I often have dreams like you describe where I feel extremely week. Like I've had dreams where I'm trying to fight someone and feel like I can barely lift my arms to punch or trying to run from/towards something and I can't seem to go very fast at all.

I just think its one of those "frustration/stress" dreams. TBH i'm surprised you haven't had a dream like this before. I always thought it was a common dream theme
