      Wild?

      heya everyone! just came out of a dryspell with very limited recall \ dreams for the past 10 days or so... last night was a great good experience and I think I may have pulled off a partial WILD... perhaps some input would clarify this.

      So I went to bed, and said to myself, "I will dream an infinite dream. I will remember this infinite dream and it's infinite possibilities".

      I kept my mind clear and after some time *not sure exactly how long it was* I noticed this wash of color within my vision. I "reached" out and wiped it away and behind it was a dream world. I was free-falling in the sky, and dived towards the ground. Lost orientation a bit, but by the time the ground got close enough I was stable and sorta glided to a landing. I was on city streets, but woke myself up quickly so I could reset back to ND's.

      Now I didn't feel like I went through the exact motions described in many of the techniques. I didn't feel vibrations or anything of the sort, and I feel like I missed the transition, but as soon as I was there I was vivid, alert, and lucid without doing a RC or following a dreamsign.

      <input appreciated; thx DV forum(s)>

      Rare, as long as your mind was awake/aware from the time you laid down til the time the dream started, you WILDed (vibrations, sounds, etc. are not a WILD requirement.. they just sometimes happen).

      To anyone who has had a WILD, how long did it take to start having them and is 11:00-2:00 enough time to wake up during REM.

      It's better to try WILDs during the (later) morning, then you are a bit rested and more likely to have success.

      *nod* yah I was rather lucky with the one I posted about, and think it was really more of a partial WILD because as I rethink about the experience there was a mild slip in awareness right before the wash of color.

      I'm going to be moving such attempts to learly morning, weekends, naps etc, as I tried again last night with much different results that kinda offset my entire nights worth of dreaming.

      I think I prefer to hit ND's and then search for signs and RC to lucidness anywho... at least for now
