      Another Lucid Dream!

I'm so excited After I posted my last thread a couple hours ago, I went to bed, did my affirmations, said to myself "I want to have a lucid dream tonight.. it would be nice to have a lucid dream tonight", and I think I was feeling maybe a little bit confident - not "sure" that I'd have an LD, but thinking calmly (and really believing) that it was definitely a possibility, because of what happened yesterday, and just because it's been seeming lately like I'm having them ore and more - and I had one! It was a DILD I think -there was a regular dream first, kind of unpleasant, about being in a house that burned down - it's faded now, but I was looking for my boyfriend, worried, ect ect. Then things changed, and in the dream it somehow came out that the fire was because of this evil girl. Meh, it's so fuzzy now, but long fuzzy dream short, I covered the girl with red candies that turned into buzzing bugs that "killed" the evil spirit inside her. I think, but I'm not sure, that at this point I realized I must be dreaming, cos I can't turn candy into bugs in real life Argh, I'm trying to remember more but I got a phone call right after I woke up and it's washed half the dream away. So, I'm lucid, walking down the street. I know I did some stuff but it's just gone now :/ Remember rubbing my hands together - first time I've ever done that in a dream, and it did seem to ground me.... Walked by a big old tree and brushed my hands against the bark. It was cloudy (I mean the weather, not the dream itself) and cool out, and I was walking down the street, deciding what I wanted to do. I confidently called out "increase clarity!" and things got much clearer. I just felt quite confident and relaxed think I want to go somewhere, suddenly decide to fly. Raise my arms up and off I go Into the blue sky, over green fields and hedgerows like the English countryside, so pretty. I decided I wanted to go into space, and I went up through some clouds and it started getting dark, and I thought "oh-oh, last time I had no visuals it woke me up" - and so of course, sure enough, I feel myself start to wake up. I concentrated really hard, and after feeling briefly like I almost woke up - even felt my body in the bed - I went back down into lucidity, thinking "a lake, I'd like to be in a primeval lake". I found myself in a lovely mediterranean lake, wading through knee-deep water, but instead of being back millions of years, there are people in my lake! Six or seven big guys who look like cops. I'm slightly disappointed, and trying to figure out how to get where I want to go (a real primeval lake, sans homo sapiens), when I wake up for real. I lay there for a few mins trying to remember it - and then my phone rang. When I put it down the dream had started to fade.

I'm psyched though - a lucid two nights in a row...woohoo! I can only guess that it's my inner confidence - really believing that I would have one tonight - that made it happen. I'm happy

Wow pixiedust.. I'm psyched for you! What a wonderful dream and dream re-enty!!

You had great control but I think the secret to it all was: I just felt quite confident and relaxed.

Way to go and may you have MANY more!

Thanks Clairity Yeah it was pretty cool - I've been wanting to rub my hands together in an LD and see what it does for me, and I was so glad I finally remembered to do it. Now if I could just remember to conjure up some lions and tigers! It's one of my LD goals, to hang out and play with some big cats - I saw a documentary on Animal Planet about this zoo in Australia, the keepers hand-raise the tigers so they can interact with them, and they had video of these keepers jumping into this big pool, and the tigers would run and jump in after them, and they'd play and wrestle and it just looked SO cool. It's just that so far when I've gotten in an LD, I haven't remembered that goal - I'm pretty sure if I did I could get them to appear - I'd probably just tell myself "hey, I remember on the news last night it said there'd be tigers around the corner", and see if that would work. Anyway, maybe next time for the tigers. I think anything's possible now - I mean a few months ago I'd never have thought I could remember a task of the month in an LD, but I did that (the New Years Resolution task), so now I feel like the sky's the limit, really
