      Third LD, anti-climactic.

Had my third LD this morning. It was so short (like 10 seconds) and so anti-climactic it's barely worth mentioning. But this forum is the closest thing I have to a dream journal, so here goes...

I was in my old High School and sitting in class when I realized I was dreaming. But it wasn't a realization like "WHOA, I'M DREAMING!" It was more like, "hey, whattya know? I'm dreaming. Isn't that nice?"

So anyway, as soon as I realized I was dreaming, I thought, "well, as long as I'm here, I might as well talk to an old friend." So, I just "willed" a friend of mine to appear and we started to talk. But before we could really get a conversation going, she was like, "well, we better get to class." So we got into our classroom, and sat down, and I started paying attention to the teacher and lost my lucidity!

I had about 3 more dreams after that before I woke up. So I didn't even remember I had had an LD at all until I traced back in my memory through the other dreams first. That's how not amazing it was.

*sigh* Well, back to the laboratory...

Haha!! That's kind of funny. How long are your LDs usually? Eh, just brush up on your lucidity prolonging skills.

Yeah. Right now I'm just workin on getting lucid. Once I'm finding my groove, I'll get into prolonging and controlling, etc.

My first LD was about 30-60 seconds. My second LD (which totally rocked! BTW) was about 5 minutes or so. And of course my third was a measely 10 seconds at best.

So, I dunno. I think I just gotta put more effort into it or something...

Yeah, just concentrate on your surroundings once you become lucid. Stay calm. That kinda thing. But it looks like you're well on your way, so I'm not worried about ya at all.

Try spinning around once you begin to lose clarity. That also works.
