      Fake LD turning real

I think i may have had my first lucid experience, though it was a pretty poor one The intressting thing to me is how it happened. I've always thought that my first lucid dream would be induced by my doing a rc in the dream, but it was very different from my expectations. The dream i had was that there was theese portals in the walls that led to a lucid dream, you could walk into one, and then you were in a lucid dream. So i entered one portal and then i thought i was in a lucid dream, i walked around in a bar and thought "Wow, so this is what lucid dreaming feels like", i was quite calm. Then, horny as i was, i tried to pick up some girls. Then i suddenly saw a friend of mine sitting in the bar. I guess i was suprised to see him there or something since i don't see him that often anymore (other that that, there was nothing wierd or dreamlike about the situation at all actually). And at this point, for nor apparent reason, i realised that i infact really was dreaming, and that i only had thought that i was in a lucid dream. The image of my friend got clearer, and i got extremely exiceted and thought about all the things that i've wanted to try doing in my first lucid dream (i've been trying for six months so the expectations are huge). The whole dreamworld started to shake violently like a very big earthquake and i woke up emediatly. I'm a little angry at myself for not staying calm, but at the same time i'm very glad that it happened, because now i'm confident that i will make it.

Another interessting thing is that this night was the first night in a long while that i actually didn't try to have a LD, i was just about to quit trying because of my miserable failure so far, my attitude when i went to bed was "To hell with it, it's taking to much of my time". So perhaps this second-long LD was my subcouncious was of saying "Hang in there, it'll happen"

      - Thanks for listening

Congratulations! And definately hang in there, the rewards are amazing. Of course I never struggled with it for 6 months, it all just sort of blew up when I started coming here and thinking about it all the time, but Id work at it a year if thats what it took. YOu're an onieranaut now!

Yea, i guess they can be annoying, but with all the references to lucid dreaming in such a dream, shouldn't it be quite easy to realise what it really is? What i'm saying is, shouldn't it be easier to get to a lucid dream from a fake LD than from a regular dream ?

If you wake up from a LD and dont move, you can experience WILD and enter another LD.

You know that is exactly what I have been doing, I would have only had 1 ld, but then I don't open my eyes and go into another one, then another one, and this happened again the next day, then 2 days later I just had 1.

In the original message in this post, i wrote about how i got my first lucid moment ever by seeing a friend in a dream, a friend that i don't see that often anymore. Well, last night, i saw him again in the dream, and in the dream i thought "Man, this guy again? He shows up alot in my dreams, perhaps he's a dreamsign, i'll try to remember that the next time i see him in a dream.", then the dream just contiuned and i overlooked the fact that i had realised that i was dreaming and thereby loosing a chance of attaining lucidity. Man!, that subconciuos can be tricky

Luckily, later that night, i actually did attain lucidity for the second time. I was standing inside looking out of my kitchen window and i saw my reflection in the window, but my reflection was standing on the ground, which is two feet lower than my kitchen floor ( The reflection was lower than me, it looked me in the chest) , then i realised i was dreaming. Couldn't hold on to lucidity this time either, i'll try harder to relax the next time it happends.

AAAHHhh! that explains this morning, I had woken up earlier and stayed awake for about 10 minutes but didn't really conentrate on anything (half assed WBTB attempt). Then 10 minutes before my alarm I had 2 dreams (not LDs =[ i'm such a newb) which only lasted a few minutes and I was awake before and after. I literally opened my eyes in the middle of both of them it was crazy...dream world...real world. Then I was mad for not being aware during the dreams.

I did that once at least 10 times. Kept waking up and the went right into the dream. Its amazing because its like doing a WILD without all the worl. Straight to the good stuff.
