      MIWILD... Wait, what?

Through some freak of nature, I ended a dry spell!

I'll start off by giving a little backstory.

I haven't made much of an effort to dream much lately because of stress and such. But on friday, as I realized it was 2:00 a.m., I thought in my semi sleep deprived mind that this would be the perfect time to plan a WBTB WILD. "OK, so it's two, I'll probably go to sleep at two thirty, so I should wake up at about eight..." I got ready for bed and went to sleep at the expected time.

However, I did not wake up at eight. I did remember this dream:

The first part of the dream is a little bit blurry, not exactly sure what happened. It seemed as if I was in a hotel based off of my house. All the rooms looked the same as normal, yet they had an unfamiliar feel to them, as if I was a visitor in this place. I looked at my wrist and saw three black spots. I pinched and pulled a little on one of them and it started to slowly come out. As more came out, the black tip on this thing faded to its white length. After about a centimeter, I instantly recognised a certain discomfort that would turn to pain if I pulled any more. I knew that these things on my wrists were growing and wouldn't stop, and would soon burrow completely into my skin if I didn't do something soon.

I quickly ran downstairs, made a left U-turn to face what would normally be the office. This room was now acting as a sort of hotel room for my parents. I showed my mom what was wrong and she said something along the lines of, "Not now, it's only eight o'clock!" Just then I remembered that I was planning to try a WILD, but before I ran back upstairs to climb back in bed, I checked my hands and saw six fingers. "Neat, that saved a lot of time."

I commenced testing my limits in my dream, and honing my control, but that wasn't the important part. The important part is that I just had a mnemonic induced wake initiated lucid dream... or something like that... O_o

Has this happened to anyone else?
      reality check. etc...

I had an experience with trying to WILD in my dream once, although it didn't actually get me lucid (I don't completely remember what happened). I've read about other people, though, who have successfully done the whole WILDing process inside of a non-lucid dream.

      Congratulations!

Thanks, but I never went through the steps of a WILD in the dream, but it was the mnemonic thought of the WILD itself that drove me to a DILD. The more I think about it, the harder it gets to classify.

Yeah, I've WILDed from a non lucid state once. I counted it as a WILD. Since then I've had a couple real WILDs too.

Those black spots sound nasty though. Yuck.
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

... it's called a DILD, no matter how u realised you were dreaming. There was possibly a little bit of auto suggestion going on there, but Dont get chuffdies over something so small, it's just a DILD mate.. sorry
We all are so deeply interconnected; we have no option but to love all. Be kind and do good for any one and that will be reflected. The ripples of the kind heart are the highest blessings of the Universe.
