one of my first lucid dreams

hey everyone, I just recently started lucid dreaming and only had 1 vague one until last night. This was the first time i could actually control things. I was riding my bike with some friends when i randomly did my reality checks. i wasn't really paying attention while doing them, thinking i would be awake and nothing special would happen. when i did the look at your hands check thingy i noticed i had more than 10 fingers. so i did all my checks again and i became lucid. Then suddenly there was a guy chasing me and instead of using cool powers to blast him off(kamehameha or something) i tried to go invisible. I wasn't entirely sure if i was doing it right but the guy started shouting in a sarcastic way "Oh i totally can't see you now" and walked off. is it possible that i wasn't doing it right because i was a little insecure? After he ran off i suddenly teleported to a school. there were 2 janitors there but i didn't pay much attention to them. I started walking around and trying to fly by jumping, this didn't work so i tried lifting one leg and slowly lifting the other. I didn't fly but i did float a little( going down slower than usual). One of the janitors looked at me and kind of nodded. he told me to come with him for something about what i was trying to do. then i lost my lucidity and ended up in a house with my aunt and uncle and i woke up because i was covered in insects and freaking out lol. I'm just really happy i was able to control some things and i'm looking forward to my next one :3

congrats. and yes, insecurity can limit your influence over the dream world. dream control takes confidence, expectation and practice, all of which will come to you gradually.
