most fun thing to do in an LD

      hi people.

first of all, open up another internet window and search youtube for parkour.
when youve got a good idea of what parkour is, think about this. why not perform parkour in an LD? ive done a bit of free running in the real world and i just thought. when people say you can practice things in a lucid dream and gain experience in the real world from it, e.g martial arts, what if we practised free running? i dont know about you but i can feel some badass skills coming on tonight. even if you dont practice parkour in the waking world, try it in your dreams. it just might be among the most fun things youve ever done.

      thanks for listening

But yeah, Parkour is fun. That'd be very fun to try in an LD

Yeah, never thought of that. That's actually a very good idea! I'll try it when I get the chance.

I think I've done it once or twice, I can't really remember it much though. What little I remember is running up a small wall (maybe eight feet) to get to some restaurant place.

      Very Matrixy

I did free-running in my second-last semi-lucid dream (5 months ago). I was being chased and started running through a parking lot, jumping on cars and flipping all over the place. Great fun.

I played a lot of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within today, so maybe I'll start running on walls in my next dream.

Not really useful for real life though.

I've never heard it called parkour, usually freerunning, but yeah this is something I've always wanted to do in an LD. Also if anyone's played Crackdown where you can jump crazy high and you're going building to building in this mega-metropolis. You pretty much are doing free running but you can jump really high, it's awesome. Although I want to have purpose to free run, like I'm chasing someone like in the beginning of Casino Royale.

I could totally do most of that in real life, I'm awesome at stuff like that. =) But not the flips. <=/ I don't think I'd be courageous enough to jump rooftops, but I probably could.

Hmm.... does that sound braggy? Didn't mean to. =P

I haven't done parkour per se, but I have scaled up a brick wall incredibly fast.

      Does that count?

At the risk of getting flamed, I'll say that it is completely possible to learn something in an LD and get good real-world experience from it.

In my experience, you usually need some kind of help or instruction from a DC, usually like a dream guide. I learned how to sing opera and operate and shoot a gun from my dream guides, among other (less cool-sounding) things. I was surprised how well I did at the shooting range for the first time and how I intuitively knew how to do things like release the clip and stuff. I usually assume that the dream knowledge is just crap that sounds like it's accurate because I'm so ignorant about whatever it is in the first place, but when it's obviously proven true, there's not much I can deny about how accurate the LDs were.

I've never done parkour in LDs; I usually fly or teleport. I walk around and explore a lot in LDs, but it's not really parkour. I'm definitely going to have to try running up walls and stuff like Prince of Persia now though, lol.

Huh. Freerunning. I used to call what I did just "running around on rooftops in the middle of the night" but I guess it has a name; Freerunning.
12 LDs at least (most short), all DILD I believe.
