RJM -> Rapid Jaw Movement in lucid, experiences?

Last night in my lucid dream I had a very strange experience: Besides just noise in my head, I felt like my jaw was moving very rapidly. Opening and closing my mouth (like you do when you are cold, but much wider open and with more force) I touched my face, being convinced that it were my dream hands touching my real face and then got scared by the fact I had an extremely tight muscle above my ear and my jaws were moving really forcefully. I woke myself up, but when I pinched my nose, it turned out to be an FA. *some flying in between* When I finally woke up for real, I had my tongue between my teeth, so I guess it was not possible my jaw had been moving for real (I would have bitten my tongue in that case). Also, I didn't feel any muscle strain, that could be expected after these jaw movements. Anyone ever experienced this? I have some experience with rather violent or fearfull SP side-effects (mainly noise, so loud it's like standing next to a jet plane) but never anything physical like this... Plus: it happened DURING my lucid, not in the beginning (like it normally would).

I do something similar on occations, in my sleep. If I sleep on my back, I'll suddenly shut my mouth, which often results in me biting my tongue or inside of my mouth. The pain wakes me up...

During Slow-wave sleep your jaw muscles move slightly. This is when you're not dreaming, though. In REM you should be paralyzed, so i dunno.

That's weird - I had exactly the same thing with Jaw movements. I was trying to wake myself up at the time and somehow I couldn't and I just felt my jaw moving uncontrollably. It was really scary!
