i did it! and it was amazing

so last night, or rather this morning, i had a strong vivid dream, and i guess i was supposed to be Neo on the matrix, and i was running from all the agent smiths...sounds corny, but yah here we go...

i get to the top of the building and the whole matrix story disispated and i to fly in all my dreams i need a high surface, because i fall alot before i get control of it...then i was wearing this hat i always wear and it flew off my head and i didnt freak out...and then it occured to me!

"oh this is just a dream" i wasnt to excited, but i was sure happy, and so i flew around where i wanted...then it started fading so i tried spinning in the air, but i fumbled to think of certain scenery...and it kept on fading...and then i yelled stuff like "Reality Now"...which i should of yelled LUCIDITY NOW...but it worked for a while...then i knew that it would be hard to keep it going after a few minutes of flying...then i woke myself up because i couldnt wait to get on here and share the story!

OH! and if it was unclear, this was my first, clear, and full LUCID DREAM!

and also something i thought that deserved mentioning:

when i started flying, and became lucid the dream shifted to 3rd person...but now if i think about it...the dream shifted from 1st to 3rd person alot...i know this has already been discussed, but it felt like a camera was going around me and stuff...pretty cool

the world is a roller coaster, and i am not strapped in, maybe i should hold on with care, but my arms are busy in the air[/b]

      Good job,

Generally I gotta be careful with 3rd person..with me this usually indicates im losing lucidity..

      CRAP!..

that makes sense, cause when i told myself to wake up, my body, and the landscape/horizon/city beneath me pullled away from my vision...

but come to think of it i have had 3rd person dreams since i was a kid, and when i was a kid i had lucid dreams in 3rd person sorta...it was like half controlled lucid dreams

It's getting depressing that everyone else is managing to become lucid and I'm not, I'm beggining to wonder if all this work and interupted sleep is worth it.

It's worth it! It took me about 5 years for my first. But of course I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing and I didn't have all the people around here to help me.

Maybe you need to take a few nights off and see what happens.

Seeker is totally right, it really helps to have this forum, which is incredible...its so great to have fellow lucid dreamers..."friends" if you will, to help you out and stuff, this forum and all the people involved really helped me out

so really take into consideration what everyone says, try it out, and develope your own style
