      My First Lucid Dream

Okay, my first lucid dream in years and I am really excited! Here's what happened...

My older brother and I were babysitting/watching a group of elementary kids. There was a playground in my house and they were going crazy like little kids do. My brother was watching the girls in one room, I was in the other watching the boys. After awhile, we took a break and my brother came in and sat down. I noticed the girls weren't with him or in his room. I asked, "What happened to the girls?" He jokingly replied, "Oh, they're dead." That's when I became lucid, because I think my subconscious (or however you spell it) couldn't come up with a good enough reason for why they weren't there. So here I am lucid, and what do I do? I try and summon a very scary looking werewolf, just because I needed a reason for them not to be there. I don't know what I was thinking, luckily I only got to the head before sense came to me. I glanced around and jumped through the window. (Which was shut ) Then I did a RC with me hands and it worked! So I really wanted to fly in this dream. I was outside in my backyard with a couple trees here and there, and I jump up into the air. I felt like I was going to fall back to the earth but then it felt like this force lifted me higher, and I did a loop-d-loop. When I touched back down, I wanted to climb a tree, so I walked over and grasped one. Then I looked up and so the clouds overhead. They were big back dark ones, and they were so vivid too. I could see the tree going up and up and straight through them. Then I remember me surfing through the forums on this site and finding out about the "Task of the Month". I think that that is a very nice idea, it sometimes gives you something to do in your dreams when you aren't sure of what to do next. So I'm thinking about eating the tree, but I think, "Well, anyone can eat a tree." So I try and find something harder and less edible. I saw big mounds of hardened clay which looked tasty. I bit into one and it tasted like chocolate with a raspberry filling. Mmm... delicious. So I wanna try the beanstalk challenge too, but I didn't think I could do it with all those trees around. So I try "lightning" running to the local park, but I only made it to my neighbor's. So I jump in their front window and they are sitting there reading newspapers and I say hello. Then I jumped back out. (Later did I realize the neighbors I saw reading lived in a different house) The next part was where things went strange. I was reading on this site about dream guides. I think that that would be interesting if I had someone I could talk to while I was asleep, someone that is very wise, or funny, or nice. So I shout out, "Do I have a dream guide?!" And from behind me to my left from very far away I hear a "yes..." I think the shouting in my dream sort of flummuxed me a little, and my dream started to fade. That is when I am somewhere completely different in the middle of the night driving, stuck in traffic. The weird thing was, I knew I was still dreaming, but I wasn't in control of my dream. And that's when I woke up.

So, I really loved my dream, and I'm really excited because it was my first one in years! I hope I explained it well and I hope you enjoyed reading about it. Any comments on anything I might have done or on the dream please feel free to say. Thank you!

Oops, forgot something! I remember having a big bowl of sliced bananas right before I went to bed.

Wow! Congratulations man! This is the first you've had in years? Well done! And it was so long. You should be proud of yourself, give a pat on the back well done my friend and many more lucids will come!

Nice dream When you bit into the clay, how 'real' was the taste? I haven't eaten anything in a dream yet, edible or non-edible - not that I can remember anyway. I mean, was it a vague chocolate-raspberry taste, or did it really taste the same (with the same intensity) as when you eat food in real life?

I don't think I remember the clay giving off any texture, like it was really easy to bite into it, but I do remember tasting the chocolate and raspberry filling pretty well.
