      Ye man! My first WILD!

I thougt I could never WILD and put it off as an aim over summer but I did it last night! First off, the most important thing is that I did a bit of DVing just before bed looking up about WILDing so it was a slight objective. BUT I didn't dwell over it.

It happened on my way to sleep, and I think it was in the evening but if that is true I'm INCREDIBLY surprised I can remember it. It may have been that I woke up in the middle of the night and can't remember it but I'm 100% sure that this was a WILD and not a spontaneous lucid dream.

I was imagining being at my school, and I was completely conscious. The imagination was slightly "writing itself", similar to subconscious thinking but I was definetly conscious. I imagined upsetting my physics teacher in some way and dashing down the corridoor to escape his wrath. Since it was just fantasy this seemed appropriate. As I ran upstairs to my form room the fantasy started to become very vivid, I could feel the adrenaline and felt more like I was there. Once I got to the top of some stairs I stopped and thought about whether I could finally WILD from this. And it happened, just like that! I mean I literally thought it and it was like "I'm in!".

I never went through SP I just immediately "popped" straight into my fantasy as a dream (which makes me wonder, I could have been thinking about any location!) and I was completely conscious. I remember being confused as to how I could possibly have WILDed when I had just got to sleep and I thought deep sleep came first. This is NOT a nonsensical thought, it literally was my level of knowlege. So much for that. Things seemed a little eerie and I could hear odd looming noises. I was reluctant to go into my classroom in case a nightmare suddenly started but as soon as I went in all the discomfort stopped. Me and two girls I know were in there and I was asking them questions to investigate their replies (it was my objective). I can't remember anything that was asked or said and I'v never been able to remember dream conversation anyway. I can't remember anything after this.

So thats it! Is it strange that there was no SP at all because I experience it sometimes but this was literally straight from imagination into a dream! I know I should not count on it going so smoothly next time. I'm thinking of trying a less intense version of WBTB, by having my clock wake me up, record dreams and trying to WILD then without actually getting up. I hope this may make it easier.

I had to share this because it's such an acheivment for me. I am definetly NOT a WILD natural and how I stayed conscious for so long into sleep is anyone's guess!

Congrats on your first WILD! It's not uncommon to WILD without reaching SP. You described how WILDs usually are for me, too. So, it can go just as smoothly next time.

Remember how you did it when you try next time. And yes, doing a WILD by visualisation means that you can pretty much choose what to dream.

I think you did a V-Wild. It's when you vizualise a scene you want to dream in, and act in it until your mind takes over. Well...something like that. The thing is, that when you have V-Wilds(or just Vilds) you usually dont encounter SP!

About falling sleep too soon, I have a recommendation... Listen to music while you WILD... Or Lucid dreaming mp3's... That's 'cause you can then concentrate on that music, thus staying concious and not worrying too much about swallowing...
